This is not Battletech board game, it's Mechwarrior Online Card/Board Game.

Following your thought, the PGI guys shouldn't develop MWO because there are a lot of Mechwarrior video games out there (including LL).

Awsome game though you should try looking around for the proper variant pictures like the Cat-K2

Sure (that´s what I was talking about, literally), but there are only a few variants done by now - people since to like much more to repaint their mechs. The few ones I remember are the Cat-K2, one Stalker (made by me), one Cicada (made by me) and one Cataphract (by Iron Hawk). I need to ask permission for the Cataphract (already got for the Cat).

I know there are other modified mechs out there (once saw some modified Atlas and Centurions) but I will need help finding them.

I see two issues

1. The Battletech card game created by FASA

2. A computer program called Megamek.


It looks cool but I think your look at some cease orders being issued.

The guy is doing this for fun. He's not trying to commercialize it it make a profit.. Just ****..

This is not based on the extinct Battletech CCG. It´s based on MWO.

MegaMek? Really? I guess MWLL will fire me too.

In fact, if MWLL and MegaMek were not prosecuted and shut down, it´s unlikely I will be.

It would be a simplified Battletech TT.

But the thing I like in the chess board is that it is a limited and controlable environment - the game becomes all about planing before battle and not just reaction-to-events.

You mean canonical unique mechs, like Yen-Lo-Wang? Interesting! Yes... I could add those... in fact, when the game is finished, I could even add some badass custom players´ variants, like Stalker Odanan. ;)

Totally awesome. Definitely printing off. Good work!

Two comments:
Armor values seem really low... a lot of lights and mediums will be easily destroyed by single attacks from larger enemy 'mechs. I'd consider doubling or something to take into account the miss/inefficient damage inherent to BT or MW.

Also, not sure I get why attacking diagonal is disallowed. Of course, ranges shouldn't be boxes as diagonal shots would reach unfairly far. But some moderate accommodation could be reached like having range calculated as sum of tiles up/down and tiles right/left. The resulting range profiles would look like:

Short:

Odanan, great job as always. Do not hesitate if want to inlude the UrbanMech in your game using my design. If so, you may want to review your cost scale a bit so that the Urbie is the only one costing 1 point.

Also, it would be great to evolve the game so as to introduce some of the repainted concept art in it within factions, etc.

I can increase the costs of all in 1 or Urbanmech can cost 0. ;P

I was planning to make 1 paper mini for each mech in each faction. Yes, I would be using repaints. And now that you said I can use yours, well, you just saved me 2 months of work. >:D

Updated the rules, added more mechs (including Urbanmech!).

and... this is an "unofficial" MWO Card/Board Game mech card, a Stalker done with the MWO hardpoint rules. It´s a mech I want to try in MWO (it is deadly in TT):
