  • I am Light, Fast, Deadly, yet????????
I am not worthy of your notice, oh mighty Atlas, to chew on me is but a snack?

I am not a Jenner, such an evil little fella, yet he is my kin.

I plow my row of wreckage quitely, unassuming. Therefore, take no notice, there is nothing to see.

The Raven is my friend, The Camando, my little buddy.

Hello Atlas, Hello Awesome, Catapult Centurion. Hunchie, soon Cataphract

Oh, you see me now? You want me now? Oh, Too Baddddd, Your snack fights back, flight, then, WHACK!!!

Leg me? Maybe.

Core me, better use Streaks.

Chase me, HA!!! Oh look, I have friends...

Rambling, scambling, dabbling and damaging.

Toe to Toe

Or Longshot Strikes

The only thing missing is the thumbs up "Likes"

And Why, dunno, dunna care, stay oblivious, and unaware.........

TO THE HAVES & HAVE NOTS

Basted foul lovers,

Each holds true, these traditions,

Humbly we give thanks

For Honor & 4 Hire "$$$"

The Saga of the trail of destruction, the hail of dedication, the pale of retribution.
In the ancient mist of our pasts, the love that lasts, hates that's caste, and the rest to dross.

Windbourne, souls torn, not shorn, then re-bourne from what was, to what would be, not should, alas, could be, as the leaves spread to the light, we spread to the stars.

Pipes be present, where it be loss or victory, for us, as the soul spoken, indeed, uses the pipes as the voice, taking the ill, or the blessed choice, making the manly dry tears, moist.

Our Battlemechs use another voice, enforce the choice, of those born, those chosen, followers each and all, to the call, “EVIL FALL!!!”

Our foes know, the claymore clove, cloven, the Tech of Battle woven, and torn, for we are The Windbourne,... The Windbourne Highlanders.

ECM

What you do not see, is your doom.

What you see, but cannot hold, is your doom coming quickly.

What they see or do not see, turns the tide of doom to their shores, their sterns.

Welcome to our world...... A ravaged coast, of Doom's hope calling, and the silent running death...

Bereft Once, Dispossessed,Not Twice.

Cast aside, left, bereft, his mech nothing more than a home.

A damp cool part of the world, a wet world, a dark world, his world, and all alone.

Abandoned by those that cared more for their safety than his.

They cared much, but not enough, pushed him out, from bad to this.

There was no battle, no valiant last stand, just told to walk out the dropship he could return only the man.

Three years dispossessed, stressed, blithering depressions, sins confessed.

Then he was dressed, uniform tight, in the saddle again, wrongs made right.

Never again, no, never again.

To be adrift, no, never again.

Fuel was too little, for the dropship to take flight, no other sacrifice suitable, nothing personal, worst yet, they were right.

He could have have left, should have left, but knew he could never make that choice, in his voice.

Hard as it is, weather right or wrong,in this life,we do what we need to do.

It would be different if he had a place to call home, belong, hope to see, tears to share, love that is true.Love that was true, where were you?

Eight years past, his mech died last spring, necessary maintenance, undone, not forlorn, in this wet world, this damp world, still, it is a beautiful thing, even if not torn, alas, only shorn....to the nub

I will agree with this. Poetry threads always turn to garbage as every special little snowflake that thinks he/shes a wordsmith comes out of the woodwork. I wonder if most people realized the average American reads at a 9th grade level and furthermore that everything is written with this in mind, maybe just maybe they would realize their poetry isn't all that good.

Not to be a downer rhyme away mechwordsmiths

carry on, carry on

Better to exercise some creativity as opposed to none at all, no matter the quality.

Must agree. Writing is the only way to get better at writing.

Edited to add this emo bullcrap:

Threnody for a Lone K2

"They will know us before the end,"
a whisper in the steel coffin.
Hands on its controls as on an old friend's back,
fingers curling around the throttle's shoulder.

Crusted snow snaps.
Toes flexing, lifting,
dropping water and white.

Three-pointed prints fill with fog.

Twin-barreled fury,
this beast of legend
carries the fate of worlds.

The risen mist engulfing them
shines like mystery, sad triumph,
dowsing out their figure like a dying coal.
Limping on this dirge march, alone together.

I'd rather have 50 pages with 5 good poems in them than 0 pages and 0 good poems in them.

I actually really think some of the ones on page 3 and 4 are quite fantastic, for what it's worth.

Can't beat em join em I guess...

--------------------------------------

Here I sit on the ridge,

my Atlas battered my teammates missing or dead...

As I am targeted by at least four enemies,

I have only one thought,

is there nowhere to get a fracking pizza around here?

Pizza Pizza!
