I hope that it is possible for me to achieve the ultimate adrenaline rush. To singlehandedly take down an Atlas when i'm piloting a Commando in an urban enviroment.
Yes that is very specific but i can't help it. I'm obsessed with this idea.

A game that combines combat, background, and community for a unique gaming experience.

Besides just overall fun mech combat?

I hope the community warfare part is meaningful and satisfying. It would be nice if they could find a way to involve every player, not just the organized guilds full of power gamers, and make Joe Q. Mechwarrior who only has time to play for maybe an hour per day feel like he contributed to war effort for his chosen house.

But really, fun mech combat is priority one for me.

Valkyrie vs panther fights in a jungle or a forest, just like i used to do in table top,
Vs my dreadded Davion opponent Ted,
That guy was mean in a Valkyrie.
absolutely nock down drag out fights, totally awesome.
Some type of moving planetary front that moves as we drop on planets.
Way back when i was in the 2nd sword of light, and we fought in an old online game that shal remain nameless.
Davion would attack the front, and we would respond, it was back and forth all over the Davion border.
we would log in check the status of the planets, and just ready up and go.
So much fun it was insane.
Thats what i want, a game that lets you make a diffrence in the war, not just a bunch of credits and shiny mechs, but something that makes you feel like each Mechwarrior, in each engagement, was fighting for something real :P
Rock on \m/_ _\m/

First, that image makes me feel ill.
Second, I concur. I hope for some sort of reseen appearance. I would happily pilot their Fauxenix Hawk.

I hope to be able to have a fun and rewarding mech Battletech/Mechwarrior experience no matter how long I'm able to play, be it 30 minutes or 2 hours.

I'm not really hoping for anything specific. I mean, it'd be nice for me to see custom armor/engine/weapon loadouts be unavailable (or hideously expensive) until Omni's are introduced, much like in the tabletop... but then I'm something of a fluff purist and my views don't line up with the majority.

But realistically, that isn't going to happen. So instead I'll just look forward to jumping head first into yet another MechWarrior game and slagging some enemy mechs! :P

The gamplay needs to be solid, or nothing else matters. Custumization, territory control, merc. contracts, none of these will matter of the actual gameplay is off.

A great gaming experience combining teamwork, amazing solo efforts when backed into a corner, great graphics, a good redition of the BT tabletop into a first-person video game, a dynamic IS-wide map that changes as players battle it out (but within the scope of canon), being able to see and take part in the events that shaped BT history, the Clan invasion, and eventually Solaris VII arena play - with betting, championships, the whole nine yards :P
