It's just my Sweet Baby Pirate Style. Confuse and annoy the opponent into submission.

It's Latin for ass. I usually go by podex equi, but I felt like shortening it this time.

In terms of this handle...I think no one wanted to be associated with one of the fellas riding in the Demons, Myrmidons, and other Battletech tanks. So's I took it. :o 'Tank Man' is now the nickname of a mercenary Mechwarrior who probably gets sick whenever he uses jump jet equipped Battlemechs and or likes dakka dakka.

To be serious though, it's more of a long-running tradition thing; on deviantART, in Kongregate, and on some forums floating around the web I was known as TankmanS5150. Mostly Kongregate, where I did a lot of in-chat role playing, initially as a special "Robot Master" of the Mega Man vein, the S5150 Tank Man unit. Year was 2008: way before the Mega Man Unlimited fangame with an 'official' Tank Man came out, so I thought nothing of taking the name and the persona of a crazy caterpillar-track foot robot that would look vaguely like Napalm Man. With bigger guns. The 'Tank' moniker would continue even as the character would be 'upgraded' into "Titan_Tank," the current handle I use whenever I visit Kongregate for whatever reason possesses me.

And that, dear readers, is why I occasionally react vehemently to anything reminding me of Mega Man, just to be an antagonistic bass-tart to my online roots. Freakin' Jump-n'-Shoot man...

EDIT: Yes, bass-tart. Apparently the other thing isn't well liked by the filters. ._.

I usually get weird responses because of my callsign and what it implies, but as a kid I wanted to be a pilot in the Air Force. My hero was Captain Lance P. Sijan who was a pilot during the Vietnam War and lived a few miles away from where I do now. On his last sortie his callsign was AWOL 01. While on a bombing run on November 9, 1967, one of his bombs' fuses malfunctioned and it detonated prematurely. His copilot was killed and he was severely injured with a fractured skull, a crushed hand, and a compound fracture in his leg. Because he was far behind enemy lines, he refused to endanger the rescue crews by having them lower a a penetrator into the forest rather than send PJs (the Air Force's special forces unit). After withdrawing due to enemy AA fire, the SAR forces lost contact with Sijan, so he began to drag himself through the jungle toward the base he was stationed at. He evaded capture for over a month, and once he was captured, he overpowered his captors even with his extensive injuries. He continued his attempt to escape but was captured again a few hours later because of his inability to walk. He was repeatedly tortured but refused to give any information to his captors. Emaciated and in poor health, Sijan died of pneumonia in the infamous Hanoi Hilton on January 22, 1968. He was promoted to the rank of Captain and awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for his extraordinary heroism and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty.

My name is kind of a Portmanteau.

Reno is a prominent member of the Turks who appear in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII

Tony Redgrave is the alias used by Dante in the novel Devil May Cry Volume 1

So, RenoRedgrave

Ssssh. In the future, these things have been resolved through science. It's ok.
