Not enough people have read books by Michael Moorcock.
Although, I've only read Nomad of the Timestreams (The Oswald Bastable trilogy), but it is one of my favourites books I've ever read. It's about time I read it again, actually. But I'm making my way through the Gaunt's Ghosts books. Again.

He's from the Elric Saga - worthwhile reading ;)
On the subject of Gaunt's - I've read them all and I've just re-re-re-read Eisenhorn and Ravenor by the same author.

Oh the joys of being amongst geeks ;)

Started using it in BF2 and it stuck for about 4 years. At one point I started using "waffles" as a joke/smurf handle and that ended up becoming my primary, but it being such an unimaginative and overused name meant it was already taken before I got here ;).

I don't normally use this name, but seeing as it is Battletech, I am using the Bloodname I won many years ago. I actually have two, Hawker is for Mechs and Pinnock is for Elementals.

Henry is my real name and Hawkins is a cool last name. Makes for a cool B-tech name I thought. Usually my gamer name is Thunder Chicken, so I'll save that for my Catapult.

I killed the leader of the Rats of N.I.M.H. (Nicodemus) and then did... things. :ifyouknowwhatimean:

Judging by my answer in the other thread the reason changes with my mood.

As if my handle needs much explaining. Other then I've been playing BT since oh...1984, tabletop and video. I've exploded more mechs then I care to count and just love to watch them go..KABOOM! It always makes me giggle. Back in the old days of the first RPG I got Mechbuster as my in game handle because I'd downed so many enemy mechs , it's kinda stuck since.

Trying to come up with a name for Baldurs Gate, I wanted an offshoot of Cyrus, So I came up with Sirous. For whatever reason I have used it ever since, it is rather uncommon and I typically do not have any issues in forums or Games.

The best is everyone thinks it looks like serious which has added to the fun. Well except for BF3 and Origin where I have Sirous in a secondary profile but they will not let me make it the Primary, THANK YOU EA!

Back in the mid/late 80's I went between three different user names (back before there was a world wide web and us nerds hung out on BBS's.)

Stonewall was both influenced from 'Stonewall' Jackson and the Mutant villain from the X-Men Comics. Deth was Death with the 'a' simply dropped (what do expect from a teenage boy? lol) . At that time I was also playing Marvel Super Heroes the RPG and had made a Demigod with the Ultimate Powers book, of course among his powers was weather control and I named him Monsoon. This last name wasn't used during the BBS era.

Shortly after being on the WWW though, I figured I should narrow down my user names to avoid confusion on which site I used what. By then I'd pretty much out grown Deth, so it was down to Stonewall and Monsoon. Stonewall lost out probably because the name wasn't 'mine' like Monsoon was, as a character I had created.

Over the next couple of years, I'd run into the problem of sites saying, 'User Name in Use' so I stuck a number 28 on the end of it. Though I've yet to ever be on a forum or game where I'd actually SEE someone using the name Monsoon. This one though, I was in luck! ;)

I was one of the first employees at the Battletech Center in Chicago. We formed up teams to beat the daylights out of each other during our training. Back then the pods were only three on three. My two teammates were Wineman and Whisper. They insisted I pick a name that starts with W. Wicced just came to me.

My handle is simple... I plan on sending many a Mechwarrior to hell, so it is very fitting.

My MechWarrior name, Aeryk Corsaer, is the name of my House Davion soldier. Born in 3019 to white collar parents on New Avalon; father taught Military History at the University. Gradute of New Avalon Military Academy - now known as College of Military Science - in the year 3039 after attending officer candidate school. Not at the top of his class, Aeryk did serve as the cadet corp commander during his time there.

Entered advanced education program at NAMA as an Intelligence Analyst due to natural aptitude in strategy (plus keen intelligence) during the 3039 War with Kurita. Served in a covert ops position for several years after completion of his special training and was crucial in the success of a defection but his cover identity was blown by a snooping reporter at the end of the operation in 3045. He then started his tour of duty in the AFFS where he has seen some heavy combat including having to take over command when his CO was killed during a critical battle during the past four years. His knee disability has not kept him out of action; Kommandant Corsaer is still serving in the AFFS and is looking for his next assignment...

This is an alt of my main net id. I like star wars and big cats so it was easy to combine the two.

I was required to register a call sign for BT tournaments over a decade ago, and so I did, but why/how I chose it I can't recall. It may have had something to do with the 'Mech I was piloting or the unit I was representing at the time.

First time my buddy sat me down in front of a PC rigged for gaming - I believe the game loaded at the time was the first Quake - he told me I had to put a name in. I'd just shown a shocking lack of... well... my on-line nick, and it stuck. For coming on ... lots and lots of years.
