And boy 'o boy is it unbalanced. I didn't think they could do it, but they managed it, IS is now so much better than Clan Tech its unreal. I don't even understand why they keep nerfing Clan tech when 'mechs like the Thunderbolt and Stalker exist, they have possibly the greatest hitboxes in the game and also possibly the best torso twist shielding, yet they get the best energy quirks and also decent armour quirks on top of it. Every game I played today was just LL boating on Stalkers and Thunderbolts, I saw more diversity on the Clan side than I did with Inner Sphere, didn't even think that was possible.

Pretty much how the IS felt when the Clan mech's were first released. Just relax they will "re-balance it".

Yeah, when someone says "4N," the very first thing I think of is "incredible hitboxes and great torso twist..."

Was more talking about the Thunderbolts torso twisting, but anyway the Stalker has probably the best hitboxes in the game.

Yeah, pretty sure the worst thing you can do in the Stalker is twist.....hitboxes and high mounts are amazing though

Yeah, it's so unreal that it's not true. You know both Stalkers and Thunberdolts got nerfed significantly in the last patch right? That Thunderbolts are barn doors with horrible hitboxes?

Are you on drugs? Cause otherwise you would not put Thunderbolts and "greatest hitboxes" together in a same sentence. And you wouldn't put Stalkers and greatest energy quirks in the same sentence, cause the best Stalker, the 4N gets only miniscule energy quirks.

Fact is, Clanners are crying about nothing, only that their easy-mode has been removed.

I wish I'd came back to the game earlier when people say that. Must've been nice to get a win now and then...

So I've been playing on a Clan alt.

The EBJ is amazing. I really like it.

Clan mechs are still awesome and matches are decided by teamwork. I win more often in trial mechs playing as CJF than I do pugging with fellow Davion pugs on any IS vs IS front in my main account, which has a full meta elited mech deck.

If you guys think this is 'broken' then you really, really have no idea what this game was like for the last year playing IS vs Clan. NO idea at all.

If the only Mechs that IS players brought to CW matches were Stalkers and Thunderbolts, then your statement would be true.

But that is rarely the case outside outside of large organised teams. In reality, PUGs and even some teams bring many Mechs other than the heavily-quirked IS Mechs.

For this reason, the availability of a few highly-quirked variants is not an effective balance to entire lines of Clan chassis (eg HBR, ACH, TBR) which offer huge customisation options of higher-ranged and lower-weight weapons, all with survivable XL engines.

PGI will never balance the game while they pursue the flawed idea of uber-quirking a few IS chassis. They need to start looking at 10v12, or cross the board structure changes to IS, or maybe even making their InfoTech thought bubble actually meaningful in terms of actual combat advantage.

10v12 will never work. Why has been gone over a million times, I'll save you the rant.

That's why I was a huge proponent of the InfoTech thing. While laser damage falloff wasn't ideal the concept was going in the right direction. Another balance leg that's hugely more flexible than the damage/heat/range/velocity set as that's not universal across weapon types. The concept was sound though and had a on of potential to add to the game.

I agree with you 100% that's why many of us moved over to IS. Start an alt IS account it's the easy mode button.

The drop tonnage change is the only actual "easy mode". Put the Tonnage back to 250 vs 240 and it would be fine. Even at 265 vs 255, actual good Clan players can still beat IS.

Bull....

Was loyal to Clan since beginning of CW, went on IS two weeks ago because you know what? I'm done to see mechs i paid money for to get nerfed to oblivion.

Even with pugs as stupid as 1 inch of concrete you are able to stomp Clans. No taktik needed, shut down your brain, move somewhere...omega or not...doesn't matter. Everything you do = win.

We farm some mechbays for the next few weeks and you should all do the same as long as there are still some clan players left.

I guess its a good time to play only the Public for me, or catch up with my other games which has events going on. WoWs has a spectacular event getting skins and characters from the anime Arpeggio of Blue Steel.

I was thinking of moving to IS to test out my Marauders for CW. But not in the Easy Mode.

Another bs thread because clan tech is better, but clanners need god mode to stoke their egos. Buy the IIC mechs they are better than any mech except the indestructible artic cheater.

LOL the IIC mechs better than any other mech than the god mode cheetah. Wow I don't even, you do realize if you can aim straight with those short beam duration IS lasers and IS autocannons cheetahs go down quite quick, and as for the IIC mechs clearly you have never piloted them they are far from amazing.

heh, yeah no. I'm currently doing fine on my second account and that's with one only partially skilled (need 3rd variant) mech and a total of 3 modules between my deck. Heck two of them set up all sorts of cheesy just for fun. I admit it's not the easy button some clanners miss but at least now the fights are more balanced and challenging.
