I don't know if this topic has been discussed before if so I apologize. But I wish to know how 'legging' will be handled? In previous games like Mechwarrior 2 and 3 if you were legged you were destroyed. In Mechwarrior 4 if you were legged all it did was slow you down to less than 1/2 speed. If both legs were taken out you were immobile. How will Mechwarrior Online handle this?

Been discussed so much. Your leg doesn't blow up and you dont fall down, it just gets to a point where its difficult for you to move.

According to my information that I have researched, Legging was never Dishonorable.
In MW3 it was Dishonorable but that was a Glitch in the Game.

Well well well... Societal evolution is a funny thing huh? Like the Handshake, this evolved from showing your enemy that you did not have a weapon in your hand. Now it is just accepted behavior.
The whole concept of "Not Legging" your opponent in a Mechwarrior game evolved from the older Mechwarrior computer games. There was a glitch in the game which pretty much ended it if your leg was taken out. So it became "Dishonorable" to leg the enemy, some units would even kick you out of the unit if you were doing it.
This concept even carried over to MW4-Mercs. (Where there was no glitch with the legs,) yet I saw people cry and whine about legging regularly. Because they were so accustomed to removing all the armor from the legs of their Mechs, to free up extra tonnage for weapons.
I have read EVERY Battletech and Mechwarrior novel in print, and some that were never in print, most of them at least two or three times. I don't recall ever seeing a reference in print regarding legging being dishonorable. In fact, on the Table Top version of the game, it was possible to "Aim Low" where you rolled for hit location using the "Kick Location Table" always hitting a leg. This was, and still is a viable tactic. Legs are much cheaper than torsos or heads to repair.
In short, if you don't want me to take your legs out... better armor them up pretty good. Whatever needs done to win...
