Its beyond obvious these guys are trolling. They should be banned, but they won't be, because some of them got mommy or daddy to buy them founder status.

Protip: trolls eat anger. don't feed the trolls. There's no ignore button, so you'll have to ignore them the old fashioned way.

My daddy takes me out to eat ice cream every Friday after I get out of school. He is a very respectable man and I would appreciate it if you didn't slander him here, sir.

BlackFlag: No!, I must ban the goonies.
Radio: No BlackFlag. You are the goonies.
And then BlackFlag was a troll.

I'm starting to feel that the Word of Lowtax is simply here to amuse me since they are doing it in a very consistent manner.

It's pretty much the only reason I post, that moment of frisson as I wonder.... will Mr Ledoux like this one? :ohdear:

The true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality.

It's certainly a motivator for me, George - because it means you might post again and every time you post I read it in Duncan Fisher's voice.

Also, why haven't PGI got you to voice stuff like the centurion reveal trailer? Hey, PGI, the guy's right here!

Possibly my perceived alliance with the uhh.... shall we say... more revolutionary elements of the community? :D

But more likely it's cuz it doesn't cost them anything to use one of the office interns for the voiceover.
And yes, I probably just shot myself in the foot.

Damn! I have sunk so low... and yet... I'm sure I have not yet reached the bottom... :D

If you don't want to be cynical, you can chalk it up to the language barrier. English-speaking posters organizing, and ESL-moderators moderating. Leads to misunderstandings.

^^^ THIS in spades.

Role playing is not trolling. Now you are the one entering a thread to make trouble.

What is posting? Posting is struggle. There are difficulties and problems in those places for us to overcome and post more. We go there to post and struggle to overcome these difficulties. A good comrade is one who is more eager to post where the difficulties are greater.

I know i'm disregarding my own advice here, but didn't you notice, that everytime somebody makes a post in one of these beloved goon-threads, about eight of them (and probably Goerge Ledoux) jump in to comment on said post?

Anyone here really concerned about "them" getting "too powerful", simply stop replying to their threads, or threads concerning them, as your posts will keep these threads alive. All this percieving them as a "powerful group", is pretty much playing by their rules, as they simply are no such thing. They're just guys in front of their computers (possibly ugly), who like to call other people pubbies, for whatever reasons.

By the very nature of MWO, they're not going to be able to cause much grief, as they did in EVE Online. So who cares? All they actually do, is making annoying posts in annoying threads. Just ignore it (like i didn't :D).

You'd be surprised at how much grief you can cause by not being bad at the game.

I'M NOT UGLY YOU TAKE THAT BACK.

Seriously dude, you're going with calling us ugly? What are you, nine years old?

You ARE right about posting about us making us more powerful, though. We're like an ugly, internet powered Obi Wan.

For over a thousand generations, Battletech posters were the guardians of peace and justice in the Mechwarrior Online forums... before the dark times... before the Word of Lowtax.

I never noticed.

Seriously, i said possibly ugly. Possibly not. Possibly (probably) gaussian mixture model. I said that to illustrate something, not to offend anybody. To illustrate, that any kind of self-important, board using internet crew is possibly not as cool as they feel.

I apologize if anybody applied that to himself, and any feelings were hurt in the process.

And thanks for proving me right about a bunch of self proclaimed goons (and George Ledoux, sorry i forgot you there...) answering anything posted in this thread.

Edited for George Ledoux

I'm not a goon, but I will answer that.
Yes indeed... I am ugly.
