So, all of Marik takes a unit's wrath from a faction we supposedly have a truce with... because a few people (a single unit) said some hurtful things.... Sounds fair. (Not.)


I recall the same thing happen before. It was with the Combine and a certain unit (no names mentioned NKVA) who trashed talked a lot of people. Marik was split on if we wanted to declare a war about it. The fighting units said no, because NKVA was not all of the Combine. The inactive units seemed to have voted yes and made it public. Boy was that a mess...


A few points of reminder:
- It's a game. It's suppose to be fun.
- It's a team based game. You are suppose to work together with your fellow players. In this case, you are allied with Liao, than you should technically follow what would benefit your faction best.
- In CW, if you attack a faction, you often times wont get a specific unit. Thus, your whole vendetta with a specific unit (who isn't even a loyalist nor committed to the faction) ends up being against other players not involved and just trying to play a game.
- It's a game. Enjoy the game itself, and ignore the prattle of some of the player base. (Even when they could use some sense slapped into them.)


And for the record, I'm responding not knowing the reasons for the hostilities.

Have you considered that, maybe we aren't trying to take back planets because we don't want to anger our allies?

When you leave that faction, we'll work it out with the Loyalist Liao and probably reclaim some of those worlds. Till then, we'll either defend ourselves, or leave it for Ghost drops.


I personally have no vested interest in your little war against a specific merc unit who temporarily moved into Marik control (I use this term loosely). Though I may have started in Davion, and my Davion contacts continue to warn me against Liao, Marik has had a strong relationship with Liao since the beginning of CW. I suspect we will continue to have good relations with Liao (despite my Davion contacts warning) even longer still. We've had no reason to attack each other, besides as an occasional training skirmish, with no intent to actually take any planets.


PS: Last I saw, Davion was attacking Liao and taking planets. I would think your faction would prefer you attacking Davion, or defending against them instead.

to fail depends on the point of view. AS make successfull attacks on marik worlds. thats all that matters for someone. others don't care about tempoary gains and take it as some kind of a flu...and let it pass by.

all i can say is:
i respect the piloting skill of AS. maybe they are fun to drop with, too. i just don't know.
but this declaration of war-nonsense is a joke at all. you can't declare a war weeks after you started aggressions and think anyone takes it serious...and your "reason" is...not so well suitable. but it's up to you to shape your...reputation.

i'm not sure if this is some joke from AS-side, but everyone else has fun and demands more popcorn.

As always I only speak for myself in my views, but this is all just for fun, just like all other CW conflicts we have started in the off seasons, I have said that anything said should be taken with a pinch of salt, the truth is we were hired to fight for Liao and have found little in the way of unit vs unit warfare, so we have changed boarders a few times looking for a good fight, a fun fight, when we found no units we went fishing, looking to hopefully draw out a unit to fight.
The fact is we have less than 6 days on our contract I believe at which point we will most likely leave Liao space and when the comp seasons restart CW won't see much of us bar maybe a few AS players solo dropping, time and time again people have said these threads have been the most entertaining thing in ages. I really hope everyone has had fun with it, it's what we are here for.

At the same time we gained alot of planets and pushing forward on the Davion front thanks to the coordinated work of Marik house units and mercs. Keeping focus paid very well in this war against Davion. Remembrance to the poor seal souls lost on quarrelings at Liao border.

The Antares Scorpions claim they don't roleplay or care about agreements between some Faction members to have no conflict on borders then start their own topic involving roleplaying making a big deal about agreements they 'supposedly' don't care about. That's on top of the outright lies posted by troll accounts of theirs and lies about wanting tough fights. The lie of Marik beaking agreements when the topic linked to in the OP has Liao players flat out admitting it was not Marik but Liao that broke things off.
Pretty clear that ***, the unit name for Antares, is full of it. Now Clans, Steiner and FRR know why we have only seen a Liao unit once up north.
