well, yeah to a degree.

You forget that most "Stock" mechs, are ment to function at all ranges because they are intended to be out in the field, sometimes without refit and rearm, for days at a time.

I'd say more likely to be away from full support facilities for days at a time, but they would never be more than half a days run from a place that they could reload ballistic and missile weapons, considering how common those weapon systems are in stock mechs, with never a lot of ammo.

Looks great. I still like the Marauder better. Natasha's mech is the coolest in the Inner Sphere though, no one can argue. Will there be any back story to accompany her mech in some way, some day or what?

Not a fan. The waist is way too spindly, and the legs are skinny. The art on the sale page is much better. Probably going to pass on this now. It's a shame, they absolutely nailed it with the Marauder.

As an American I respect your right to your own opinion.

As a fanboy and general giant mech connoisseur (not just battletech), I'm sorry that you're wrong.

The WHM is closer to the original unseen WHM than what the MAD is right now.

I'd say they nailed the WHM and really stuffed up with the MAD - arms are too high, AC barrel too small.

BUT I'll agree that they did nail the hitboxes and quirks for the MAD. It's actually a real IS heavy to be feared in game.

So what was supposed to be a Warhammer's new look appreciation thread turned into people trying to enforce what, in their view, is the right way to play the game upon each other, can't say I'm surprised.

man I love seeing the classics make a come back.. though I wonder if HG will throw another b**** fit over it like they did when smith and tinker released the trailer of their own game?

Nope.

TOPPS owns CGL and thus Battletech. HG is in serious financial straits with a lot of lawsuits in europe against the owner for real estate and they got reamed pretty good when they went after Hasbro.

You figure TOPPs, CGL, HBS and PGI are ALL all in.

That shoudl be pretty good indication of the legal homework being done

hmm, if that is the case maybe they could bring back even more mechs.
though iirc wasn't the only reason HG actually went after FASA was because FASA sued playmates over them trying to actually steal the Timber Wolf for use in Exo Squad?

I hope they go belly up and rid the world of another parasite...

anyways, do you think they will bring back the Crusader?

These arms will be a pain on some maps. I'd suggest structure or armor quirks.

that's the million dollar question, and probably the toughest hurdle. All the Valkyrie/Veritech are going to be the most difficult due to their central point. I hope we see the Crusader and the Phoenix Hawk, at least.

Um, excuse me?

Since when is playing mechs based on TRO's considered "Playing Badly?"

You know, I can take a Timby Prime, 2CLRM15, 2CERLL, 2CERML and 2CMG's and wreck consistantly which is only a slightly modified [and arguably downgraded] version of the stock Timby Prime. I can take a stock 3025 era Atlas and obliterate Direwolves with it, or a slightly downgraded Catapult with 2lrm15's instead of 20's and 4mlas and still hold my own.

Just because someone isn't running "The optimal, lulzmeta" build, doesn't mean they suck, frankly some of us are here playing because of the lore of this property, and to be an asset to the team, not to go 12/0 LULZWRECKED l337 haxzorz mlgpro.

So you know what, take your opinion, sit, and spin bro. I'll be running my Whammy's mostly stock [save for dubs]. And enjoying every minute.

That's the same loadout I used on my Timber Prime, and it worked surprisingly well. Of course that was several nerfs ago, not sure how well it does these days.

Can we have a face lift for the gorillacrab ....errrr ... marauder as well ?

Straight gun pods svp, sleeker upper arms and a less fat arse svp. Btw, so many profile problems would go away with a central spot for the dorsal AC.
