my GPU is at 60% cpu like 50-60% as well other people have said this as well from my google search
for more people to come play MWO you have to make it run on crap-tops properly my friends can not play with me because they have this problem
the game runs fine now but all that fade in lack of advance options
.ie
1.set a setting to off means its off
2.every thing can be turned off (with in reason so potato PC can run it)
3.better sli/crossfire/cpu threading
4.percentage sliders for settings for fine tweaking (0%----------l-------100%)
5.missiles/bullets/lasers all do different dmg textures so your mech shows what you have been hit buy if you ever played slpatoon you can see how the paints all mixed up if we do this on a mech it will show lot of different battle dmg think it will look cool (mite as well add this idear)
thats abut it for now

My Phenom II X4 can only handle 30 - 35 fps. On min or max settings... to my GTX 760 its really a bottleneck... I cant wait for DX12... make it playable again...

Lucky you.... My Pentium G620 with GT 520 can run it at 30fps max.And that's on lowest settings. And it's been only getting worse with each year.
But hey, I should be glad I get to play this game at all, considering my shamefully crapy PC.

Most laptops are good for 2D scroller action games, but not immersive 3D action like MWO.

Don't expect anything within a timeframe worth considering.

So... how about people stop expecting high end titles to work on 10 year old machines and $400 laptops.

"But DaZur... What about PGI downgrading their graphics for potatoes?"
Yeah, PGI did break a cardinal rule. That said, and I truly believe this... If PGI knew what they know now, they would not have done it. They were too green with Cyengine and did not have the skill or knowledge to code around higher fidelity for performance. (Some might still argue they still don't... but I digress).
PGI can (and will) continue to optimize MWO... But it's not ever going to run on a potato.

Your gtx 760 is a fine card. Its faster than a 650tiboost I was running 60fps on medium.
What's hurting you is your CPU.

Just put it this way , I just bought a laptop for 100 bucks off eBay to use for a hobby project. It has an intel 4000 junk video card and its twice as fast as the 520 hehe

You need a decent desktop and an okay laptop, steam stream to your laptop from the desktop, works like a champ.

Sorry but if you run the game on a laptop you're doing it wrong!
Dude trust me one thing I'm constantly harping on is tech and engine upgrades.
4.6Ghz Devils Canyon
16 GB 2600mhz Ram
2xGTX 980 SLi
500 GB SSD (OS Windows 10 Pro)
1TB SSD (Game Drive)

Of course it is. Its 7 years old... But to change the cpu, I have to change the MB as well, and thats quiet expensive. Like 400€... (300€ for a good i5 or a low i7 and appx. 100€ for a mainboard) and I dont have that much money to spare...

Not saying you have to run out and buy anything I replied because it sounded like you where thinking it was your video card. I didn't want you to buy an highend video card and find out it didn't help you. I must have read your post wrong.
Side note depending on your socket I'm guess fm2 you might upgrade to an A10-7850K for 125$ USD.

there on steam now and its time the game ran on crap-tops better and in general
most people on steam play on crap-tops this will be opening up the market for the game and get more funding for the game so we can meme and mech all day long

My best friend has been playing on my machine lately, trying the game out with his own account and some gift mechs I got him, and wants to play himself now at his place. He has a 15" ASUS something. I told him not to try to play on that, the game would probably melt it. So we are designing something more appropriate.
People who expect to play games online, need to expect to own a proper build of laptop or desktop. Developers need to make it more clear and obvious that "you need this minimum set up in order to launch this game", have some safety in place where it indeed won't launch, and also stop cow-towing to the lowest common denominators. I wish I knew what the % of player base has, or what the % of units sold, that potatoes occupy, but yeah, not likely.
this is the message I'd like to convey to PGI ---> stop cow-towing to the lowest common denominators.
