OK, I'm not exactly well read on the lore of the series- in fact I'm practically a newbie. But my favourite character would still have to be Star Commander Joanna of Clan Jade Falcon. She may have never earned a bloodname, but that stubborn old warhorse conquered the Black Widow! (She also trained both Aidan and Diana Pryde, two other characters I'm fond of.)

I have 3 favorites. The first place is a tie between Aidan Pryde and Grayson Carlyle. The second place would be Lord Ricol form the Draconis Combine. Hes a ******* but i realy like him. :P

Jaime Wolf... hopefully for obvious reasons; unless, of course you haven't read the Wolf's Dragoons sourcebook.

Chandrasekhar Kurita might be my favorite character from Battletech. Every book he appeared in that I read was not only hilarious but also very intense. Lots of the characters who worked with and around him generally called him "Uncle Chandy".

I always liked Dan Allard and Andy Redburn. They had this secondary, but completely dependable and prudent character that would get the job done, and always pull through.

Favorite, character...

Minobu Tetsuhara- he was a great example of a DCMS mechwarrior, and a friend. Only battletech book that made me tear up.

Theodore Kurita- One of the greatest leader characters written. He was flawed, loved, and hated, smart, but not so smart he didnt make mistakes, a mans general he lead from the front. And most importantly he was smart enough to know how to overthrow his father, the TRUE Dragon.

To quote Patrick Kell "here's to the first annual Arden Sortek saved ous *** party" ! That being said, hands down for me, its got to be Phelan Wolf . The importance of his influence on the Clans during they're initial thrust into the inner sphere cannot be understated. Khan Ulric truely made a good choice by putting him up for adoption into the wolf clan.

Man, I'm seeing some truly good reasons to choose all of these wonderful characters. If I could, I would choose them all, but I still think Jaime Wolf is my favorite of them all. If you want a good reason, I'll have to get a copy of Wolf's Dragoons and read it, again. Except for the fact that he is the best mercenary leader of all times, his wisdom is beyond reproach, if not sought constantly, and he was about the ONLY counter to Natasha Kerensky's rash foolish freakish strength of character and body. Yes, I know the Wolf Dragoons were the vanguard scouting force for the Clans, but Jaime and crew fell in love with the Inner Sphere, which is why they began preparing the Successor State Lords for it in 3048.

Gees guys, I guess I'm going to catch some laser fire for this. I liked Victor Steiner-Davion. I liked the character, he loved the daughter of his father's enemy. He was an adequate warrior surrounded by some of the best and brightest... and he listened to them! He wasn't full of himself and although he didn't want to fight he did what needed to be done.

Now some of the fiction around him was junk, but I liked the character!

For me I would have to say Kai Allard Laio. There is a section of the Blood of Keresnky books where Kai's mech, moving faster than anything Victor Davion had ever seen (TSM), is laying waste to the enemy around him as he charges up to save the Prince from certain doom.

Every time I read that my blood screams with battle fury.

He is also, arguably, the best mechwarrior of his generation and the current pilot of Yen-Lo Wang, one of my favorite all time mechs!

Zane Nova Cat.
He tried to warn the Dracs and the Cats about the Bear, but died in the attempt.

Unfortunately folks, I have to pull out the character that kept getting FASA in so much legal trouble. And come forth with the enigmatic Dr. B. Banzai of Team Banzai, stationed at the New Avalon Institute of Science.

I'd have to go Davis McCall of the Gray Death Legion. A Scotsman's Scotsman even if he was a Legionaire rather than a Northwind Higlander.

So many to pick from, and except for a few (which haven't been listed as anyone's faves yet) they're all good. Personally my fave is Sun Tzu.

Hanse Davion and his son Victor... about him I especially liked the moment he was on this grand crusade with the clans. His sister thinking he's out for good tried to take over whole FedCom. And then who comes back? Victor with the best toughtened veterans hardened in all the clan wars... They come back Jules Winfield style!
Leading his people through the valley of darkness...
Beeing truely his brothers keeper... and finder of the lost children...
And he shall strike down upon thee with great vengence and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy his brothers!
And all shall know he's Victor Davion, when he lays his vengence upon them!
