However, when several members of the TCAF make a point to visit our forums and tell us they are not involved in the incursion, and yet TCAF tags are appearing on our planets... well, then some feelings are going to wind up butt-hurt. You reap what you sow amigo, so now the TCAF needs to make a real convincing argument as to "why it wouldn't be fun to see if we can do to Liao what the FRR has done to the clans" this go around.

Please name these people. Are you possibly mistaking other Liao Loyalist with TCAF folk... ?

*This comment by itself a tad strange because TCAF folk rarely engage in FW (Forum Warefare) and I know most of the English speaking ones...

Personally I had not take part in attacks on Marik held planets (well they were Davion planets, liberated by Liao), until this little Marik offensive started. Posted Image

Still going strong after the Mercs responsible left.
Interesting stuff though.

according to the Tukkayid stats TCAF makes up a quarter of your entire active population and we'll over double your combined active units population. Let's just be real here. TCAF is house Liao. Any other units input is completely irrelevant if it opposes what they want to do.

For that matter TCAF composed a quarter of our active population. Them deciding to mass drop our planets isn't the same as if one of Liao other little units decided to ghost drop a planet.

Mariks population is just as small as yours. Heck according to the Tukkayid stats every other faction except steel jaguar double our combined population. What Liao faces now is what Marik has had to put up with since phase 1. We fight Davions. We fight Steiners. We have border tensions with kurita. That only person we never had to worry about was Liao and vice versa. Liao has up until now enjoyed a 1 front war and decided to throw that away.

CW is a numbers game. In that both our factions are on the losing side. It's only by the grace of the clans existance the the Steiners don't bother with Marik which makes any assault at Davion even possible. Then you decide you want to pick a fight with us then whine how you have no players.

At this point I wonder why Davion wouldn't be a better ally than Liao. What do we even gain tying ourselves to you? And don't give me this crap about some treaty from the lore. This is MWO not Stackpoles fantasy land. Trust and alliances are what we make not what is dictated by stories written 20 years ago.

The Tukkayid stats are misleading.  Those of us in other Liao loyalist units were invited to join TCAF for Tukkayid only.  After that we went back to our original units.  While TCAF is probably the largest loyalist unit in Liao, it is no where near the monolithic entity you assume it to be.

I was hired by a man who wants to remain unnamed in Davion High command to break the truce between Liao and Marik which I succeeded.

I have been paid my bonus for accomplishing this so I no longer care to hold it.

1. Mercs rolled in waiving the Liao colors and convinced Liao units to attack Marik.
2. Planets were taken by pain induced drops of pugs and nothing.
3. Mercs were pulled out once PHL (which was also a bonus to get out of Marik) left Marik and Marik loyalist attacked, hence why they are in Davion.
4. All Mercs under my command on now out of Liao except one which I'm pulling now.

This is why I said Mission Accomplished.
All bonus objectives completed as well.

Thank You Davion, I'm back to Clanner space now. Your funds are appreciated. Will do business again.

SPECIAL REPORT: UPDATE

While the mercenary known as eSeifer has confessed to being in the employ of the Federated Suns, there is still no way to prove that House Davion was his employer.

Any investigation into who may have hired him has been complicated by tampering with communication that eSeifer and other mercenaries sent in the days leading up to the violation of the NAP.

Entire communication threads have gone missing. These include eSeifer's initial call to form a Liao Council and the rumours that imply House Liao will become the new "mercenary powerhouse" of the Inner Sphere.

Only less reliable sources remain. One example can be seen in this piece, which was previously dismissed as Davion propaganda by CCAF analysts. Events have called that interpretation into question.

It appears per this post >> http://mwomercs.com/...se/page__st__20 << That a rather large "merc unit" (really just Clan in disguise) is going to make a move to Liao to "help" them beat up on Davion...We all know this is a move to pull IS forces off the Clan borders as the IS has been doing a much better job of working together this time and they are not making as much headway as fast....but they will, and are, trying to spin it as "helping" Liao.
Unfortunately this is a sound strategy within the framework of the game as it is now and will probably work rather well...unless Steiner, Marik, FRR and Kurita work together to push the clans back while this "Merc" group is away from their true home in Wolf land.

While the Capellan people find it comforting for the Celestial Wisdom to condemn House Davion for attacking them from the inside, they must not be blind to the threat presented by the Clans. Furthermore, the tampering with the communication records suggests a much more sinister possibility.

ComStar is the only organization with far reaching control over our communications.

If this attack was intended to throw the Inner Sphere into chaos and ComStar is responsible for the subsequent cover-up, then the implications are profound.

ComStar could be secretly supporting the Clan invasion through the manipulation of the Successor States.

The possibility that ComStar might be working against the entire Inner Sphere is much more disturbing than the suggestion that House Davion might use underhanded strategy to disrupt peaceful relations between House Marik and House Liao.

Marik is blocking our route to planet Liao, reclaiming this is a stated goal of TCAF, repeatedly blocking this route was never going to lead to anything but trouble.

Here's the thing

Your loyalist unit just dictated "we're taking these planets"
If you want a friendly alliance with another faction, you ASK to take planets and come up with something maybe a planetary swap. You do NOT just invade our territory and say "Ok, these are our planets now", regardless of what your "stated goal" is. That's called common courtesy if nothing else ;)

To be fair we've always kept our alliances with Marik, or anyone else for that matter. We occasionally have the odd errant merc but we'll help flip worlds back if there's an issue.

Treaty or not with Liao but Davion is always happy to close hostilities with Marik. Could even run a regular "Wazan Bowl and Tailgate Extravganza" for fun when we're not struggling on other fronts.

Liao? Liao is only happy when they're getting stomped. If by coincidence things go their way they will find a way to mess it up.

Who hasn't had a crazy ex like that?

here's the other thing, guys.... any suggestion that eSeifer dealt with anyone, and/or was hired by someone in Davion command is patently false and nothing more than further spin on his little campaign. Til now, we have been merely idle bystanders in this little debacle brought about mostly by him and those with him... He made several similar attempts to penetrate and destabilize davion command as well..unsuccessfully on our end (most likely because we are a smaller group then he must have suspected and easily dismissed his attempts to sow suspicion and dissension there), compared to the victory he seems to have scored between Liao/Marik here.. Even though he didnt succeed on all fronts, he still got all 3 southern houses fighting each other.. Hence his quiet little post that stated quite simply... "Mission Accomplished"... revealing his actual goal.. maybe he was sent, maybe he came all on his own out of sheer boredom, It would be redundant to even bother mentioning who probably sent him if so.. but i DO know, he certainly didn't come at the behest of anyone authorized by Davion high command.. The ONLY thing Davion command has done, (aside from stocking lots more popcorn at Skippy's Fern Bar around the holovid screens), is encourage PHL to come to Davion next after seeing what impressive work they did for Marik combined with the oddly unique aspect of them actually following the orders of the faction they are currently aligned with.. in fact I asked them myself to come over.. None of that has anything to do with your current situation here though..

Liao might be struggling with handling two fronts now, but Davion has been facing 2-3 fronts, being attacked constantly since day 1 of every cycle there has been to date, and in every time cycle...even the ones we dont have any pilots on, so we have little sympathy there. But that said, we still did not interfere in or subvert liao/marik politics in any way.. now (or ever for that matter)...the redirection of that **** back at Davion after the fact is nothing more then him trying to pile onto the damage his campaign has wreaked with more spin and misdirection away from him and/or his real employers, like icing on the cake that he's trying to get on our sleeve too.. He's been playing you all like a fiddle for some time.. Hopefully you all like the tune. But don't look at Davion for the origin of your troubles..We weren't even remotely involved. Follow eSeifer's recent career path for more clues.. you were infiltrated on both sides by rogue mercs bent on stirring up conflict between as many southern IS factions as they could, most likely intent on drawing organized resistance away from the clan front, and they had roughly a 66% success rate, it appears...depending on how you measure the success of their action, of course... At least Marik has identified a limited scope to their side of the conflict, but will that be enough to stop it ?? We shall see.. But Davion's focus has been straight forward and rather transparent for quite some time, with no taste for backstabbing politics like this whatsoever.. We show up, we attack Liao planets because they NEVER stop hitting us, and we defend where we need to, (or at least where we can on 3 fronts...).

Any further inquiries should be directed at the Federated Suns Press office via your local comstar affiliate..

That is all..

From what I've seen, what probably happened was back when Davion had Terra space, we started pushing to take Terra, via Sirius, and we gained some space that Davion had taken. Though then, I don't know why other FWLers kept pushing Davion and then into Liao space. It probably had something to do with ghost drops and wanting easy cbills/loyalty points.

If you ask me the real threat is Jade Falcon, but lets face it theres not that many FWLers that have the mechs and skill to win against Jade Falcon. So instead they seem to find excuses to find easier battles.

No.

What we get from allying ourselves with Liao is a 2 front war. Davion and Liao. What we get from allying ourself with Davion is a 1 front war. Liao.

Our populations are equal. You can't handle a 2 front war and neither can we. Our choice is simple.

Hah. Where was this when you guys were done fighting Davion and looking for something to do? I didn't hear any requests then for duels or skirmishes. Instead I saw you invading worlds in CW.

So that, being your preferred method of play, is what we will do. I plan on dropping in CW all weekend. If you want to fight me then you know where the queue button is.

@ Aylward

If it helps I dont think anyone in Liao believes eSeifers claim that he was hired by Davion high command either. It is a good story hoeever does make for fun roleplay - I mean, we were always going to attack you anyway so eSeifers flimsy attempt to stick the blame on you just gives us a nice propaganda tale.

ThomasMarik

Your call, as I said, you just need to accept that enemies arent created equal and Marik will never be the priority that Davion is.

Enjoy your ghost drops, we'll be on the Davion front.
