Maybe it registers if you spectate to the end, as well. I usually watch till the end, unless i died straight off, and it seems to be counting mine even when I have no immediate kills.

This event highlights how LRMs are becoming Meta. Every game in the solo queue is like a monsoon of LRMs! With ECM nerfed, this, I feel, has come to a stage that it is a problem. Any plans by PGI to reduce the effectiveness of LRMs? Too much off a good thing is detrimental to the game.

With regards to the updated event, maybe an extension please? I personally lost a few KMDD but due to my hectic work schedule, those few were precious. #ExtrinsicallyMotivated #Greed #NoHarmAsking

If peeps using lurms then good luck. High alpha direct fire is more effective. If you are lurms you are depending on locks and have to fight with other lrm boats to get kmd.

The real trick here is to do more damage faster on the target than your teammates.

This means brawling and *not* targeting...

A bit more of a risk but you don't have to share...

For example, jenner IIc w/ srm36 can come up from behind and solo shot a meta'd mech that's not paying attention. Metas don't often pack much rear armor so a point blank 72 point alpha will either kill or seriously cripple those broad rear ct's of assaults and heavies... especially clan mechs (no struct quirks) slap on radar derp, watch your heat and queue faster than other weight classes.

Even if you die after a couple of alphas on that one assault, most pilots instinctively go for that gaping hole you opened and not getting the kmd. So if you can work this tactic, you can get you kmd even if it kills you.

...it works best against big mechs since you spread would miss a lot on a light and 5 tonnes ammo is not going to last long at 36/ alpha...

Already at 30pts running the srm36 jenner IIc almost exclusively...

Not saying there aren't viable mechs outside of heavies and assualts, but I had this and never tried the srm36 build before for fear of heat issues.

Not at comp so can't smurfy it but...
126kph (speed tweaked)
5 tons ammo
1-2 jj
Most armor if not all (you need if you gonna face tank)
I think 1-2 dhs.

Flank and spank assaults while they are otherwise engaged. 2 alphas and hide until you can fire the third. One button for alpha, one for chain.

I don't think I am the greatest pilot, I know others are already done but it is pretty solid at a regularly 8-10% queue ratio.

Avoid lights, they will typically be faster and more precise than you. Go for those juicy bigs you can out manuever.

Least favorite of the challenges so far. Doesn't do anyting to promote team work.

Thanks for the event and the free stuff, PGI!

Probably the most painless challenge yet. I almost completed it in one play session. Just needed 2 more games tonight to wrap it up. Players for the most part weren't dumb. Only a few instances of players doing excessive stripping and losing us the game.

I probably would have been able to complete it yesterday if my KMDD were awarded posthumously like they should have been.

That Victor challenge, while I beat it, still haunts me although it did lead to some of the most realistic matches as everyone tried to stay alive.

Extension? Neg, there are approximately 3,5 days left. Should be enough. I did the event on two accounts.
As for LRMs: get closer and closest. Posted Image Saying that as someone who earned his last scores with LRM boats.

Thanks for the event! it was harder than i thought it would be, but i think it's because of bad play... after achieving the max reward my score substantially improved -_-

My event progress is reporting a discrepancy between KMDD on the main tracking page list, and the achievements.
With a visual count on my "https://mwomercs.com...201601champion3" page. I show 29 KKDM
However, on my challenges page I only show "https://mwomercs.com...type=challenges" 26 KKDM


Additionally, it seems though I have completed and received rewards for previous levels of play upon hitting 25 KMDD I didn't receive the Mech reward. I am concerned your hot fix may have bumped me past my Mech reward, or had some type of conflict for those of us close to the reward line.

Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this complaint / informative post.

EDIT: The lack of Mech was cleared up, upon log in and log out. The missing kill points though still remain.

Not saying I disagree, but in the matches when we got vocal I saw more people focus firing. That is the nice part about kmdd. Unless you blow an arm/torso off, you don't know if you got that point.
