I agree, but that's the point I'm trying to make. There are areas on Bog where you can fight with no ground clutter and relatively little foilage to obscure your vision.

The problem is that everyone always goes straight to the worst place on the map to fight.

The funny thing is we actually get more random maps now than we ever had in the first place its awesome !!

I saw this happen too. Conquest got picked but then game loaded Assault. Guess some last minute votes came in.

I don't mind it the way it is. I don't mind most maps, so when I vote it an attempt to avoid a certain instead of pick one - "anything but that".

So I vote for whichever map has the most votes and isn't the one I want to play. This isn't possible if votes are hidden.

Stop the votery minigames, it´s gotta go .

I always vote Terror Therma, because the terrain is awesome .
People are just to set in their ways to make use of a map -> run to middle of map, club at each other until one side is dead .

I also always vote Alpine Peaks, because the terrain is very useable, the problem again is the users being too uncreative .

On both maps I had awesome games that were NOT taking place in either Volcano Hill or Mount Derpitaka, too bad those are very rare gems of games.

I think sir, you have the wrong idea, i can get my multipler up easy, just i pick a map and stick with it. To be honest, I quite enjoy the little mini-game. It's always tense since so many people are trying to get to max multiplier.

Vote gambling is so common that I have been in matches where we end up playing the map that literally nobody wanted to play because half of the room switches their vote to the least voted map at the very last moment.

i like this mini game a lot. Having a 12x multiplier lets you finally play on other maps than hpg, canyon and frozen.

Yesterday I had countless matches on bog, a map i havent seen for a long time.


I hope we someday get the old system back, totally random map without voting at all.
But the best thing on the map voting is that everyone is so upset about the map that people don't care about the mode anymore and you can finally play al three modes with no problem.

The amusing thing is I rarely pick a map unless I really want to play it. Most of the time, I'm that one guy who picks Terra Therma but unlike everyone else, I'm actually TRYING to play Terra Therma. It's one of the few maps that really makes you watch your heat and... let's face it, any map that exposes the poor heat managers is a REALLY easy pickin' waiting to happen.

I vote when I see something I want to play on and when I see vote going towards something I don't want to play on. Outside of that I place it and forget it. Usually this gains me a multiplier because of everyone else switching. the worst though is when I see it select what I want but because of people changing it so much the map selection is something else even though it said something else won.

Nobody is willingly going to vote for Terra or Caustic or Alpine most times.

Problem is, sometimes the "jumpers" get what they jumped to and we end up in the Bog, which (IMO) is about the worst designed and implemented map in the history of bad maps. Because wasting artwork in an area where to make the damned thing playable you have to use heat vision and you can knock over trees (in other maps) but get hung up on a tiny root makes incredible sense.

I vote on occassion for maps I haven;t played recently - so usually Alpine and Terra - I would prefer a different map every game - you know for the challenge element
