PGI; very well done. Thank you.
I also love the new map, and have had my three highest scores ever, out of seven games played on Polar Highlands, thus far. I am also enjoying the flanking, the ability to actually hit targets I shoot at, etc.
I know you've removed the old River City and the old Forest Colony, and had thought to remove Alpine Peaks, but I am going to ask you to keep Alpine Peaks, and reinstate the old River City and old Forest Colony, please? Feel free to rename them, but rather than removing any maps from a rotation that remains too small, allow us to continue playing those old maps. Yes, yes, there were many folks who complained about the size of those maps, but I always felt they were fine and, if they are not being played as often as they used to be, I cannot see why people would continue to complain. To be honest, I miss the tunnel from the old Forest Colony, and the openness of the river in old River City was really nice. The new maps are really very nice, as well, but I feel it's an oversight to remove those old maps that have now been redone. The more maps we have, the more tactical destabilization and innovation will be required.
Also, I know I said I really liked the mode vote system but, if it were me, I would honestly remove that part of the voting system, please? Instead, my feeling is that you should eliminate all of those modes and go with a general mode,
the discussion of which is found, here -as this will allow players to choose between Skirmish, Assault, Conquest, and an Objective-Based Warfare system-, as well as any actual special modes, such as the upcoming 4v4 Extraction.
I don't know what, precisely, has been done to the lasers, but it's actually as if I'm hitting better with my lasers, in general. Thank God I'm preparing to upgrade my system, FINALLY, because I can't wait to see this game in all of its amazing glory. Just another week.
So, as beautiful as this patch has been, and as much as I'm waiting for my Archer's, and as much as I told you my wallet was closed until the following thing was done, and I have to say you have really begun to turn things around, PGI -DO NOT LET THIS GO TO YOUR HEADS, HEHE-...
you're still missing objective-based warfare and improved mercenary unit identity, command and control, and real contracting -in accordance with Mercs Handbook and MH: 3055-, but somehow I think you're working on all of that.
