If We Get A Solo Cw Q...

Will it be a large % from the new player base or will the casual vet player base from Solo/Group Q?.
How is this going to affect the quality of matches in the new Q?
Curious to here what people think it will play like.

Drop Caller and Solo Q - is that the same language
Also they will need to limit the ability pick planets and attack defend or it may be way too easy for folks to choose the same option and sync drop as a group

Sure. I have led plenty of pug only CW matches. Pugs are much more obedient in CW.

I thought it was going to be tag and non-tag queues? If so the non-tag queue is going to be empty as I rarely see players without a unit tag.

I would imagine that matches in a no-tag queue would *generally* be more focused on "destroy the other team" vs. "fulfil the objective" but there might well be enough players from group b that there'd still be more to strategy than "shoot the other guys". Again, in my limited experience, most all-PuG CW groups are delighted when someone attempts to co-ordinate the team, even if that's just calling targets for focus fire.

I'm just waiting to see if the split queue actually happens. If it does I'll wait for the "getting rolled in CW" as happens now and "can't get a CW match" threads to pop up so I can just quote my many attempts to point out that skill rather than premade vs. solo is the largest factor to CW drop inequality.
I'm for total war between factions, btw. I just wanted to help identify the underlying issue that many players are having even though I don't agree with any splitting of the CW queues. I think my point of view is in the minority, but all I can do is keep posting and hope my preferred game mode doesn't suffer or worse, effectively die.

AKA Puggies only play skirmishes.
Conquest = skirmish
Assault = skirmish
CW = skirmish
Skirmish = skirmish
The only time I see a match mode selected other than skirmish in the solo queue is when skirmish isn't an option to select or when my multiplyer is so high I can force a different mode.
Why do we even bother with allowing players to group and form units if at every turn the game is altered to discourage doing so. and if you happen to be a more objective oriented player you're screwed because it's skirmish then skirmish then skirmish then skirmish then another skirmish then maybe an assault that is played just like a skirmish then you get fed up and go CW only to find that the queues are split and the waiting is unbearable because of a decrease in player concentration.
All because the worst players want the game tailored so they can derp through "skirmishes" anywhere they please.

Large units will be fine, as the rewards are big.
Solo (un-tagged) players will be fine, as the path will be easy.
Small units, and players in a unit who solo drop, are going to be left out in the cold unless PGI addresses that issue.

Why?
There aren't enough players to support unit q
Cw becomes just another game mode for solo players
Solo players will not want to wait for cw games as they can just drop quick play

But these things are problems PGI should already know and be collating viable solutions for with any luck. Who knows maybe the lights will flicker on and CW3 will coincide with quick play being turned into Solaris with a Ranked match queue set.
