How do you build an AH, anyway?
I got the mech because, well, AC/20 was always fun to use and I missed out on them back in closed beta but going with the standard wisdom of not putting an XL into a Cent leaves me with little ammo if I but look in Artemis' direction.
It's fun to use but it melts going up against anything since it is too slow for dictating engagements and the firepower creep pretty much assures MAD if one tries to directly apply that firepower.
Thanks for the help and sorry for giving these machines a bad name while out there.

I used an AC20 + 3 SRM4 with an XL 255 to great success on my AH-L. It's a bit slow, so you should stick with your team, but the firepower is amazing in a brawl. Just remember to use your shield arm.

For IS: Hunchbacks and Centurions. They're bricks that can mount AC/20's or banks of SRM6's. Hunchback is my jam.
For Clans: Stormcrow is the undisputed king with it's huge pod space and multiple missile mounts, but the Nova is a decent second. With JJ's the Nova's often more successful played as a skirmisher, but with 12ERSL or 10SPL it kicks out 30 damage from each arm without invoking ghost heat. 120 damage in under 3 seconds before any modules or quirks speeding cooldown along. I've facetanked bigger mechs in a brawl without even armor rolling just by kicking out big damage numbers faster than they can.

Shadowhawk 2d2, ac10, 3 srm4, 2 ML, 2 jump jets, use your ac10 to poke with your lasers until getting into posittion, once the brawl brakes out use your ac10 and srm fire , use the backup lasers to pick off components, or add some DPS if your not running to hot. use the jump jets for quick mobility and turning around mid brawl, as well as flying over heavy/assults heads and confusing them.
ive had good success with this build, works well if u accompany 1-2 heavys or an assault

For You Kintaro lovers.. XL 290 1 LPL, 2 MPL, 4 srm
use LPL to poke/ distance, when in the brawl use ur MPL and SRM. Only use LPL if running cool/ enemy is almost dead and u wanna burst him quick

Kint-18, XL295, 2 medium Lasers, 4 Srm6, 1lrm 10
could have done 5 srm 6, but opted to avoid the ghost heat and add a bit of damage to my medium
range game (medium lasers and lrm 10 to soften on approach, and let the srm's fly when in close)
Nice Brawler with Medium range Support

And here is the 5 srm 6 version: Pure Brawler
