I as well as a lot of people on here are sick of attempting to be mobile only to be stopped by ridiculous terrain.
Honorable mentions .. Forest Colony and Viridian Bog.
thought id toss this out there.

Try to be more considerate of your mech's phobias. It's a serious problem for them.

I've often wondered how players get hung so consistanly when my experience is a rarity. Not saying your doing anything wrong... It doesn't seem to mirror mine.

I really now want a picture of a squieking Atlas on a chair looking down onto a small pebble on the floor.

Playing tactically smart works wonders. Let me guess..you're referring to polar highlands?
This map totally rocks because of it's tactical possibilities

Wrong thread? (and on the topic of sticking with ECM carriers, unless its the Atlas one, they tend be lights, and thus out run you anyway, especially as ECM range is only 90m).
Back on topic:
I've been levelling DWFs and KCGs recently, and have been caught and killed several times with <100 DMG due to being stuck on something.
Its not just little pebbles, but also slopes. I pick what looks like the most shallow path, and find I can't get up it part way up. But when I pick what looks steeper slightly to the side, I get up it fine, especially if I waddle a bit. EG Alpine G9 going up to flank the people sitting on top of the hill from our left / defenders right.
Slow me down, by all means. Its an obstacle after all. But to stop me dead on something so low I can't even see it when looking down?? When its a small static object? REALLY?
I didn't seem to struggle so much about 6 months ago when I mastered ZEUs, nor 14 months ago when I masters STKs. So it seems maybe its speed related, since I install 300 or 320 rated engines on those "light" assault mechs and thus go much faster as a function of less weight? Might just be coincidence...

Please sirs, can my Mechs handle like bipedal creatures instead of soccer mom minivans?
Earnestly,
MechWarrior
Dear MechWarrior:
No.

You used to be able to move around the volcano, now it mostly poptarts on only 1 corner of the caldera.

In other words, both my Locust and my Highlander would be happy if PGI removed the hitboxes for pebbles.
Don't change hillclimb though. Hillclimbing penalties are fine.
