I kept the 6R, and sold the other two once they had their basic skills. It was the only one I wanted, anyway.

I just took the stock loadout, swapped the PPC's for ERPPC's, upgraded to Endo and DHS, and bumped the engine up to a 300. I used the saved weight to bump up the armour.

So, it is basically a WHM-6R+.

I'm running 2xPPC, 2xUAC on one, 4xAC5 one one and laser vomit on a third (3xLPL, some MPLs). I'm still at a loss for a good build I like on the 3x missile chassis.

WHM-6R

Yet to get a reasonable build for any other chassis, just can't get comfortable in anything I try other than the build above. My 6R just keeps rocking that super stock. Makes me mildly moist every time I run it.

Forgive me Bishop for I have sinned:

6R: std 300, 2ERL in torsos and 2LPL in arms (at least I put something in the arms!).
6D: std 325. 4ML in torsos and 4MPL in arms (see above).
7S: XL300 (I think) 3LRM10s, a bunch of MLs, TAG, BAP and AMS.

Yes I am ashamed of my PPC heresy. Yes I go back to Battledroids and original Battletech (and still have ALL of my materials) and so my shame is even deeper as I wanted the Hammer in this game AS a hammer was meant to be.
Nevertheless, these builds are really quite fun and even effective for me (I just can't seem to hit anything with PPCs)!

Thou art dead to me, villain!

The Thunderbolt is a much better looking mech than the Warhammer. .

ac20, six medium laser 6R is the only build I'm currently happy with for the time being.

Boring answer, but 4x LPLs, 325XL... that Whammy is my best Whammy so far. Looks ugly admittedly...

Boring but probably not a bad option. I actually tried 3xLPL and some SRMs, wasn't horrible but wasn't feeling it.

And I don't worry about ugly. I'm not using the arms as anything other than shields on any of mine.

If only whammy arms could shield a side torso, eh?

Its funny, only time ever i used a Warhammer was MW2, it was a IIc i know, but we all use to Zombie the arms as they were extremely weak. Most ran an AC or LBX with 2-3 lasers and a missile of some sort, pretty standard load out at the time.
Finding im doing same thing now, Zombie arms an AC and 3 LL, no missiles now tho, hit reg to bad for me.
So settled on 3x LL + AC10.
Would like to use PPC on it but again for me, hit reg problems with PPC.

*STUFF*

I tried to run PPC's, i honestly tried, but my damage was just nowhere near my other mechs with other builds.

Now i roll the BW with 1 x AC10 and 3 x LPL's and the 4R with 4 x LL/ERLL.

I want PPC to work but they are simply not efficient.

Halfway to T2 now, whereas running PPC i couldnt get out of the first 6th of the progress bar....

I played them first near stock and had big problems with the ppc's in the arms.

Then I played the "torso-builds". Easy mode but boring as f***.
After this, I stopped playing my hammers.

The "meta" (or walking stick mech online) makes the game boring to me. I have the most fun with my near stock mechs, like my Archers (and i play the uac10 Kodiak 3 too). Yes i die and yes i play them only in pug, but it makes the game some times more fun to me, like an hart mode.

So i refitted my warhammers to near stock.

and you've hit the nail on the head as to why I simply can't get the excitement to queue up any more.

Laser Archers, DakkaHammers, Medium Laser/MultiAC MADs, etc-

You can't play mechs that actually resemble the mech they are supposed to be, and generic boring vanilla metabullshit is just that.... generic, boring, etc...
