- Getting kills is more fun for most people, so they will always gravitate towards being the guy who does damage. In other words, AMS needs to be so useful for your own individual mech that you choose to bring AMS instead of those extra 1 or 2 DHS. It needs to have a significant impact on your individual health, not just be a weak bonus to your team.
- Getting kills pays more than anything. So from a purely economical perspective, it may pay more to equip extra heatsinks instead of AMS, even if they give us a +5000 C-bill bonus or whatever. The extra heat efficiency from bringing DHS instead of AMS may be more valuable than whatever bonus PGI has in mind.

They never stopped working on game balance.... They're working on re-scaling mechs now. Adding some ams rewards isnt going to cause the company to stop working on everything else.

Rewarding something that is purely used to keep you alive? Is that even legal? I feel like I need to call the RCMP to investigate this.
hopefully this means PGI is open to more defense.

So wait...
How making tech not useless at doing the only thing there is to do in this game (which is generating Cbills) is not proper
balance?
I know you all want a your perfect idea of Mechwarrior here in this game but making stuff not useless is a great start to balancing. We need people to take these weapon system and use them before PGI can figure out if its OP, UP or staight up broken.
Look out over that computer for 2 seconds, if bringing AMS is lucrative and LOTS of people bring AMS how has that not added flavor and balanced to the game? You could essentially make LRMS a little better because of better tech on the other side countering it.
We got the toggle added a while back to so now you can just turn on your money makers when you see LRMS in the air. I dont see the issue, there are much more important things to whine about in this game.

yes because that Tweet implied, stated, or otherwise mentioned ANYthing regarding the rest of the game and game balance being pushed back due to "looking into making AMS rewards better"
Your trolling skills are getting rusty dude.

A lot of that is because radar derp still exists and doesn't take any tonnage or crits to use, breaking LOS is pretty easy on most maps.

I'm hoping that Polar is a sign of how future maps will be laid out in general. It's big and open, gives lots of room to actually move out and set up firing lines, and even set up multiple firing lines.
Blobbing up is a horrible strategy on that map sometimes. It actually gives room to use things like feints, flanking, etc.

Narc could use a buff.
It is a high-cost, high-risk weapon with often no reward in pub matches.
I would like to see a buff to narc in a way that rewards the lrm pilot to use it. As of now its a lights running around and little skill lrm boats spamming. On the other hand we have some fast medium with good lrms quirks who can narc and fire their own lrms. They should be rewarded.
