Hit & Run. Move around, take position, choose target, hit & run... repeat.

Admittedly, it isn't a K4, it's a CPTL-C4, but it is my personal favourite version.

Oddly, it did well.
Since then I ran a AC20 + 4MLs. Did just as well.
There are times I just will not run XL for certain reasons due to how XL works.
I will not run XL on a Crab because it works much better tanking damage on those long side torsos.
I do not here since the K2 I have seems to take more damage on sides also.
Despite weight savings, some builds are not worth using XL especially ones made for short ranges and I find myself in there a lot.

(I'm addicted to speed in game at the moment)

P.S. You can do a similar dual AC builds with a couple of the Bushwacker variants if you prefer to run a medium chassis. The BSW's armor quirks tend to make up for the lighter weight.

I ran that for a while and also did ac10 and 4MPLs which is also a tad hot but fun. also agree that catapults are not xl friendly if planning to use in a more brawly fashion.

Saw quite a few K2s with various bits of Civil War tech last night. Looks like the timeline advancement has been very kind to the catapults.

Debating a variation on stock.
Tad hot but the PPC damage is in arms for ridge humping and the MLs + LMGs could be put into one group due to range sync for simplicity.
Seems actually useful for HPPCs that I cannot find another Mech to use on.
I could drop the engine to a 285LFE for 2 more DHS.

2xPPC+2LPPC vs 2xHPPC - slightly colder and less cooldown
