What we really need is a seal that gets bonked on the head (with cartoon-style pain stars) with a club every time the pilot gets a kill.

There is a pretty easy solution to your seal clubbing issue, OP. Just make sub-par builds and enjoy yourself. Mix a load out with some SRMs, LRMs, perhaps an LB. Don't make your Mech a monster and push yourself to play well, despite being in something less than an insta-kill machine.

That's how I handled my re-roll. I built an Assassin with a 250XL, Stealth armour and an MRM 20 as my main armament. I just goofed around a little bit with a 1:1 K/D. I did it over the holiday stocking stuffer event and just enjoyed the games and earned that sweet Dec. 27th giveaway loot.

Good advice. I heeded it. Mrm30 and 1 erml with stealth armor assassin... quite fun and deadly....

but seriously, those seals wield way too many lasers and not enough lrm.
