That Moment When You Know You Are Heading To A Loss

Oddly enough a disco is not one for me. Seen too many matches were a team has overcome the loss of one or even two players. But when I see a lance of anything but lights break off to "do their thing" it is usually not a good sign.

Stupid bad luck adds to this: just got out of a game with 2 disconnects and 1 suicide on my team... again, never happens to the red team... ugh... this losing streak stinks, and payouts for losses are so bad, regardless of performance, it's almost not worth playing. Hell, it's taking 4+ games to get the stupid 2XP bonus for the day for a given mech; a month ago, it was a flip of coin to win or lose, with a slight edge on winning based on my account stats. Now, it's loss after loss after loss... no idea why.

This happens every goddamn time on River City on Skirmish or Assault. I'll immediately make the call to take D4 Upper City, and then every ******* TIME I get ignored. EVERY ******* TIME the enemy team crosses the bridge and flows down D3 like Overlord dropship just vomited its payload and glasses all of us.
I go out of my way to tell the team how stupid they are for this every time this happens.

UAV gets shot down
Spider turns up behind your team. Everyone forgets the 11 mechs in front of them and engages a spider they can't catch or hit
that, and Nascar

Last night, the 11 of us (dead) were watching our last guy in a HBK-4P. The guy missed 5 alphas in a row against a half dead heavy mech standing less than 50m away. The chat was filled with WTF. I think he was using keyboard for everything...
Or that one time our last Stalker with 4x15LRM decides to shoot approaching enemies without using lock. Total dmg in game = 23.
Or when the entire alpha lance decides to nascar 'ninja' cap base on that inferno map. By running through the enemy formation. When the enemy were still on their half of the map. Result: 4 dead mechs for <25% capture.
Some are just so bad in hand-eye co-ordination or tactical sense it makes you wonder why they play this game? Glutton for punishment?

You should spectate me playing with joysticks. It's super hard but incredibly immersive. Forcing joysticks on everyone would solve TTK overnight

I do find going assault give me higher win rate because I just prevented an idiot from trying out a big mech for kicks without knowing what to do with it.

"Guess this game is not made for joysticks" was the epitaph of a first-time pilot two nights ago.

I'd probably get one too if they ever make one sturdy enough. Like out of cast iron.
