When they are able to keep up, problems with fine movement control is their worst enemy. Thus, my estimates that 'Tier 5' players need a hell of a lot more time.

All three of us do enjoy the game for the fun it brings. We have found however that we enjoy it even more when we complete events and collect everything, due to that "I made it!" feeling that comes with reaching the finish line in time. Must be something to do with being new and still needing everything we can get at the moment. Probably worth noting... We are all F2P'ers. And BTW, I'm not asking for these events to run for like 2 weeks, just for a short day or two longer than they happen to be.

Some advice to being left behind:
Consistently vote for less mobile Maps like HPG Generator, Frozen City and River City. These usually give you a chance to catch up with the team once the action starts. Avoid wide Maps with a lot of movement like Polar Highlands, Alpine and Forest Colony.
In terms of Skill and practice:
When I was starting out a few weeks ago what helped me the absolute most was to turn down mouse sensitivity to 0,2. It allowed me to actually start hitting things. If you haven't tried it you will not believe the difference it makes.
Beyond that, if they have trouble I'd recommend trying out some of the more "aimfriendly" aka "scatter" weapons like Artemis SRM6 or Pulse Lasers which you don't have to keep on Target as long and go for more medium to short ranged builds.

Medium/heavy mechs that can keep up with the bulk of the group should be fine. And they're usually much cheaper in c-bills.

[EDIT: If I'm having this much trouble, I hate to think how hard it will be for that other MechWarrior down in 'Tier 5' to do the event. They usually take twice as long as me to finish, and usually fail to finish because of that.]

Like others have said, I fail to see how this is a tier problem. I'm also Tier 4 and I didn't notice much difference between 4 and 5 as far as difficulty in completing challenges. One thing I have noticed is there tend to be more "high dps" builds that show up during these events, which is why simple mistakes can get you pulverized very quickly. You win some, you lose some, but you always try to keep learning more regardless.
That being said, I also fail to see how everything that goes wrong for you is PGI's fault. People have offered to help you with build advice multiple times in your previous rants and you've refused help. I wonder if either A) you don't want help, because it's easier to whine all the time than actually try to do something to improve, or you're just trolling for suckers (like me) who are going to try to banter with you.
Either way, the "woe is me" and "I'm entitled to an easy I-win button" attitude all the time won't help your situation.

This is a pretty quick event, should take about two nights for casuals to get all the rewards.

Gonna disagree with you here. A newer player should pilot whatever they feel works for them. If you are piloting something you hate, then you will most likely perform poorly. I have long been a fan of having newer players start in lights or mediums, but my first point takes priority over that. Pilot what you love.

In defense of D V on this one, I do see a lot of veteran players that are stuck in the lower tiers. We never got the tier calculator, or we must have truly played poorly back then. Newer players that are coming in may run into them from time to time. I wish they would reset the tiers, and give everyone a new calculator. I hope there would be a push of players that are bogged down in tier 4 and 5 to get to 3 and 2. It is hard to dig your way out of a hole.
