Thoughts On Psr

Currently I am at the low end of tier three , this tier will be used no matter what mech I use.
However, I am, as I would rate me, for instance tier nine for light mechs. I am crappy in them, and not much better in mediums.
I like heavies and assaults, and seem to do better in them. Though I can find myself going down faster than a two dollar ******.
So, would it be too much, or create too many buckets to have PSR dependant upon weight class or a particular chassis, or particular mech/s ?
I think this may be relevant to many players, who may or may not be particularly proficient in a particular weight class.
Could this idea work to further improve play experience ? Or would it only serve to make it harder to find a match ?
Any ideas to flesh this out ?
What say you PGI ? Fellow mechwarriors ? Could this make sense and improve play experience ? Or would it only serve to detract from the game ?

I agree this is mostly pointless with the way PSR currently is. Same reason we can't judge MM, it doesn't have decent numbers to work with.
True good players can make lesser mechs work, but a team of Cheetahs and Warhammers would absolutely bend over a team of Mist Lynxs and Summoners. When equal skill is concerned, there's only so much some mechs can do.
Edit: I don't computer, so I may be oversimplifying this, but it doesn't seem too hard to do. Some program adds up numbers from your stats and uses that to determine your PSR. All that program would have to do is combine the numbers from general stats with mech stats, and lower your tier by 1 if necessary. If I had the stats PGI uses I could probably whip something up with my community college Excel training. Maybe..... Well, I was drunk for most of that class, so maybe not.... But it can't be too difficult.

I do not think this is entirely accurate, I have seen players who are exceptionally good in lights, but less so in heavier mechs. Too much of a generalisation.

Not a bad idea at all, could be a good way to go about it.

If we all played MWO constantly, then you might have a point.
