You were incorrect by stating "There is no timeline" or "timeline doesnt matter" If you said a "loophole in the timeline" then you wouldnt catch so much flack from me. I Didnt say u were wrong when russ said If a mech uses/ has current tech then maybe it'll show up in game. Ive said it multiple times and wanted to discuss with ck16 about how i felt should be in game before you dived on in guns blazing.

loophole in the timeline?

is that not the same as the timeline not mattering? Because it doesn't matter. It hasn't mattered for a long time. Look at the CW map and tell me how much the timeline matters. Look at BT lore and tell me when the second battle of tukayyid took place. What year was that?

So you are comparing this to CW, a galaxy conquest mode no duh its going to change alot in the hands of the players dude. We were talking about mechs and the tech of the game. If it didnt matter then just throw in the Hellstar and gausszillia. Go ask russ if there is or isnt a timeline or if they matter to him and let us see what he says.

As much as I never was a fan of clams, other than the Vulture and Cougar,I do think they need a decent 90T heavy/assault.

However, select mechs still need fixing as it is. I.e ACH(loltastic quirks that need some toning down) is one of them. Sadcat is another one that could do with some love,Summoner etc.

I'd rather see some of the mechs we have on both sides get fixed before we start adding too much and it becomes too big to fix.

To answer why we love the Uziel,it's pretty iconic for the younger members of the community. Sure,it's nothing hugely ground breaking, but it was in Mech Assault on the Xbox. And it was pretty decent there too.

There isn't many more good mechs we can add to the current game in the timeline.

However, since the Vulture came out, then there really isn't a reason to keep the Bushwacker out much longer.

It doesn't matter, and they could add the Hellstar if they wanted to. It passes the rule of cool, which is the only rule that should matter anyway.

You are slavishly following a timeline that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING useful for this game, and apparently you're only doing it because you get off on telling people they can't have their favourite mechs. You have no moral high ground here, if all you're doing is entering threads to attack people, so stop acting like you do, or like the reactions you goad out of people are somehow unfounded, when literally all you've done here is follow people around and sling mud at them because you dont like how they talk.

Like I said, go ask russ hes the boss and he himself can tell you what he wants to do with the game. Clearly he is fallowing the timeline as a rule of thumb with a bit of acceptions. Just cause you say it doesnt matter isnt ever the case and just your damn opinion.

How nice of you that you yourself know what i do more then myself, to just build me up as a straw man. let me break it down for ya, hell you can go back a few pages and read my stances.

No, i do not tell or do anything where people cant get their favorite Gundam. I only ask for sources to what they claim.

No, i dont fallow imperius around its kinda the other way around honestly. Its okay he can express his feels for me. B-Baka! <3 If what you said was the case i would be in every mad cat mk2 thread or anything he makes besides the one that involved russ's tweet.

dont make crap up pbiggs.

oh something we knew to be correct and i havent denied. As long as the mech has tech thats in game its a-okay.. this didnt need to be argued about.

now its about timeline.

I know that at least a few people are looking forward to the eventual introduction of Clan Nova Cat into MechWarrior Online. While I was flipping through my Battletech Technical Readouts the other day, I noticed something under the entry for the Kodiak.

Paraphrasing from Technical Readout 3058 (Revised)...

Star Captain Caiden of Clan Nova Cat fought during the Dominion-Combine War. During the Nova Cat counter-offensive, he lost his personal mech, the Spirit Cat (which was a Vulture), on Marawi against the Ghost Bear's Seventeenth PGC. However, he captured the only known Kodiak fielded by Clan Nova Cat. Now a Star Captain, he and his "Spirit Bear" are eager to get a chance to strike once more at Clan Ghost Bear.

So, the Kodiak Hero Mech is actually a Nova Cat mech (the first specific bit of Nova Cat presence in the game, as far as I know). Just a lore thing, but I thought that it might be a neat bit for any Nova Cat fans out there.

So, it turns out that PGI has decided to attribute the Spirit Bear to Laurie Tseng, Loremaster of Clan Ghost Bear during the Clan Invasion.

I guess that this decision makes Clan Nova Cat fans less than happy.

Well... not so much "less than happy," so much as "just another example of us being treated like we don't exist."

I mean, hell.... They released one of our mechs that is almost uniquely fielded by the Clan in the Shadow Cat, and they didn't even have the decency to bring us up in passing. At this point, getting mad about it is a waste of time. A sigh, an eye roll, and then I'm continuing on like nothing has changed - because it has not.

Perhaps one day PGI will offer the Supernova, with proper Nova Cat Hero 'Mech.

I was thinking of the Nova Cat would be a better way of doing it... but that might be a little too much....

Kodaik 3 variant is 3068 and you guys literally bugged the crap out of him till he gave you a number that you asked for so you would quit bothering him, obviously that is the case with the Kodiak 3 variant being released proving timeline means nothing.

I'm not going to just sit idle when plain lies are being said.

The question got asked in the first place because I was discussing the MK II with him. I blocked and will continue to block those who jump my conversations and try to push their own agenda over mine. I gave warning to a few before I said screw it and blocked them.

Well I don't agree with you, neither do I agree with mechs that far out the time line, not matter which mech it is, and before bishop gets on my case I've bought the damn kodiak.

I think people are panicking and seeing the end of this game in a few years and thinking crap crap if it shut I don't get insert mech here.

I want to see more tor 3025 mechs made before they push the timeline further, but i'm almost certainly not going to get what I want either, and P.G.I can make more cash from older mechs because of HBS using P.G.I's work, not just from sales

Here's the thing though:

MWO is probably (so far) one of the longest running version of Mechwarrior today. Right now it rivals Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries, which ran from 2002 to somewhere in 2006, where support for the game finally came to a halt (Thanks Microsoft!), while MWO, publicly, is 2012/2013 to 2016, but in total about 2009-2016 (7 years just about!)

But I do agree that people are flipping out about the game being discontinued when it isn't.

To be fair, the art before wasn't as good as what came later. I bet Alex could make any of these look epic.

Yeah... can't wait to see the kind of freak out that happens if PGI ever actually tries to release either the Nova Cat or the Mad Cat MkII in the current 3053 timeline without coming up with any way to explain why mechs that were exclusive to the Inner Sphere in their own timelines are being released as Clan mechs in MWO. I'd really prefer that we wait on releasing mechs from the post 3057 timeline until PGI can figure out how they'll handle a post Invasion galactic status quo first.

As much as I love my VF-1S Strike Valkyrie Phoenix Hawk, I will admit Alex did a great job on his reimagination of it.
