If you aren't in tier 1 and your entire build isn't centered around hitting targets at 800m or further, don't freaking buy and equip the module. This has been and will always be the biggest idiot trap in the world. I can't tell you how many times I see some yokel using it so that s/he can zoom in to use some type of laser on a target that is within 200m. If you can't freaking see something that close, don't play the game. What's worse, these people are using it against Light mechs whose speed just means that they get to zoom in on said target for a tenth of a second only to go blind and lose where that target now is. STOP!!!

Seismic Wallhack and Radar Derp are still the Golden Master Race™ of the module world.

It is hilarious, however, to watch people stomp around and trip themselves up while completely zoomed in. Myopic vision, indeed.

Don't say don't. I get some of my biggest laughs spectating folks trying to fight close range with advanced zoom.

I also like Target Info Gathering if i have the slot or if in ECM mechs over Radar Derp.

Cover be OP.

EDIT
Or in bouncy lights and now Flying Mediums Shock Absorbency is kinda nice too...

If you're not actually sniping, Advanced Zoom is not for you.

I need to photoshop some Golden Hearthstone cards with those modules imposed on them at some point. Thinking... 8 mana epics? Legendaries?

But what about Dual Gauss Dwolfs headshotting people in all those games they lose.

Forget advanced zoom. People trying to fight ankle biters while in regular zoom are just as hilarious.

Hmmm

I'm Tier 3
I run advanced zoom on any just about every mech that's got a weapons range beyond 400 meters. It's a lot easier to hit advanced zoom at that range, hit the speed clutch for my mouse sensitivity, and then put weapon fire on a more precise location.

Sorry but advanced zoom is my most commonly used and successful (according to stats) module.

Of course I've also got enough awareness and common sense to quickly click out of zoom mode when I'm trying to shoot at something in my face.

Only mechs I use advanced zoom on are my Shadow Cats and anything that has all its main firepower in the form of ER lasers (IS or Clan) or PPCs. It's REALLY sad to see anyone using it at ranges of 400 or less though, especially when they have a TC1 or higher so they can't see a thing.

I only ever use it on AC/2 boats, and usually don't pop it at targets within 500m unless I have a brain fart.

I've spectated many players who seem incapable of playing but in full zoom... even at close ranges.

Could not shake my head enough.

You're wrong.

I have advanced zoom on any mech that shoots beyond 400m.

This game has the absolute WORST crosshair in the world.

If I could get away with a ******* dot like I used to in CS / Quake 2, 3 I would.

But I can't. So Advance Zoom is the next best thing.

Lol. It's the only module, I use. I feel uncomfortable without it.

Ye, like somebody would care. If somebody would be listening to all the "pros" on this forum they would only have 1 mech with the same loadout. Gladly people play a game the way they want to and have fun with it.
