Wifi is not a problem, if it's configured properly.
Wifi is fine. People just don't know wtf they are doing.
For wifi to actually be the problem, AND be beyond fixing via properly configured non-s$&#ty hardware, you'd have to be in an extraordinarily noisy environment. Not just a busy apartment/mall or what have you.
Hell, I have no trouble getting g wifi working well in a massive production plant with dozens of massive high powered equipment, including huge electric motors, wires and cables everywhere, cement and steel, corona treaters arcing huge electrical discharges...
Just find a cleaner channel, position equipment well, and don't use a $30 router.
Since upgrading my router i can Game on Wifi if i want to, works just fine. Also making sure you are on a nice clear Channel is super important anyway just for nice, working internet to begin with.
Like you said $30 dollar routers arent meant for that kind of stuff they are what they are and often have a hard enough time dealing with a normal amount of traffic. My old one needed to be re booted every 12 hours or it would jam up.
Since replacing it with a nice $100 dollar one i have not had a single issue, other then all the losers with Apple devices around here that still have random problems i cant seem to fix on my end but thats a topic for another discussion.

That's because cry engine is notorious for memory leaks. That's the only time I crash as well, if I alt tab too much to switch a pandora channel or browse while waiting for matches.
This seem to be an issue only on certain equipment/configurations though, since upgrading my RAM and Rig a bit i haven't once had this happen.
Really the issue stopped when upgraded my RAM about 7 months ago, even in my other junktop (Q6600 w/ Geforcegt640) i thought i had a stick of RAM giving me grief and used this game to test it. Got constant Memory Errors and crashes, changed ONE stick (the one i thought was an issue) and it hasnt crashed on that one either in over 2 months.
Both systems work fine now and it was on MY END not PGI's. Not saying the coding couldn't be better or that they got it all figured out but a lot of these issues i have seen and witnessed first hand being a on the USER END.

We have a guy in our unit that plays on a laptop -
a laptop in his semi-truck -
a laptop in his semi-truck parked outside places with free wifi ---
and he rarely disconnects.
I haven't had a dc that wasn't caused by some major server/hub meltdown in so long I can't even recall the last time it happened.
Stop playing on bare minimum spec machines and torrenting pr0n and you won't have this issue anymore.
I also play often with a Trucker (goes my Mugz5 here in game, really fun guy actually) who uses his Wifi Hot spot (4g stuff) and FREE INTERNET at hotels and such VERY OFTEN to game and also RARELY has a single issue.
