Sorry to break it to you, but if you're stuck, you belong there. If you're getting top damage, multi-kill matches, and still losing PSR, or staying the same, you're lying, or you have a reportable bug. When you do 400ish dmg, you'll always get at least equal, more than that, plus some kills, you will go up in PSR even on a loss. I have it happen all the time.

You can easily get 400 damage in a loss and go down in PSR. If your match score is 400+ then yeah it will always be going up, even in the case of a loss.

Ok, you're correct. 400ish damage is usually around the required match score, so I think that's why I hung up around that number. You can also do it with 300+ damage and 3+ kills I think. There's multiple ways to achieve it, my point was mainly that it's achievable, so that even if you're experiencing losses, it won't ultimately hold you in a lower tier.

Try getting stuck in tier 5, doing tons of damage, kills with the loss or turn the corner and find over half the enemy team right off the bat with a win. Lets just say I dropped to just under 200 games below 50% wins from being a few games over 50% wins. Currently I am have almost erased this deficit. It got so bad that I just started to play derp builds (flamer locust, AC 20 raven) and guess what I started to move like a rocket out of tier 5 and now at the top of tier 4 and I was just having fun. So I got a few new mechs and mastered them, where I was averaging 400 to just over 500 damage per match (all IS mediums). One thing I have been noticing from mid tier 5 to top of tier 4, people play as a team better in the matches.

One thing to note, the 400 damage is a very good cut off for if you stay the same in a loss. Now +800 damage, kill half the team with the loss you will go up, just not that much. It is the 800 damage matches, kill half the team with a win is where you really start moving up the ladder.

So win more than you loose and try for 400 damage and you should move up constantly.

PGI needs to bring back BASE DEFENSE...this is a Simulator Game....well supposedly. BASES SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN DEFENSES.

One laser Turret is good enough, if the lone surviving mech is desperate to return to base for protection then the enemy should be able to take out the turret and kill the last mech for the win.
If the LAST mech is powered down or disconnected, then base defense should be disabled so time would not be wasted searching for and capture occurs. I think these suggestions are a good compromise.

I will say this base defenses were a fun and good idea. Base capping can have many strategies. Those saying they are doing it because they hate the map, learn to play all the maps and the game suddenly becomes better. I sometimes cap to divide the enemy team. Eventually someone will come to check on the base. Sometimes I am alone and sometimes I'm not. Saying it is cowardly to cap, is not necessarily a fair assessment. It is a strategic decision that sometimes requires awesome piloting skills and sometimes guts.

I thought that was what the protected Medium/light/heavy was all about?
letting someone get free xp/c-bills just by running a Jester or other Multi AMS mech would have big balance implications. Don't get me wrong I like having teammates that run AMS but am weary of giving XP for just carrying a piece of equipment. a very small tiny c-bill reward would probably be ok

They do! They just confuse a Time Standard UTC and a Time Zone GMT.
So if you see 2am UTC that means 2am (02;00) GMT using the UTC time standard.
PGI have been getting a whole heap better at this and almost all announcements come out with multiple time zones listed now.

Now why they want to use a time standard that averages six atomic clocks down to the seventh decimal place is Blake's guess but if it makes them happy.

I take it you did not listen to the last town hall.

there will be new game mode where bases will have UAV, ECM AND turrets, as well as small walls.
