5 years or so in MW3. Same tag as you see now.

I hear you brother. Panther 2 was my favorite tank to run. Eventually just lost interest in continuing to play due to constant german problems. Paper-thin side armor, constant engine fires, crews that slit their own throats at the sight of an enemy vehicle, etc.

Also my biggest problem with WoT: gold ammo in pub games. I'm perfectly happy to let gold ammo be a necessity for CW, but in pubs it gives a massive unfair advantage to whoever can manage to spend the most money. Anyone else remember the VK3601 conical gun with gold rounds? That was just about the most blatant example of pay-to-win I've ever seen.

Yeah they have to do that to get people to fork out the cash to get them. Then once an adequate amount of time has passed and they've made their money they go and nerf it.

Note: MWO is available to the founders just a few days after the 7.5 patch is supposed to be released...talk about great timing.

Your going to want to get into it...its internet tanks on steroids. If you liked tanks you will no doubt love mechs. Mech Assault really isnt a game to judge the BT/MW series by as it was a console game only and thus limited. To play mechs properly it needs to be on the PC imo.

Yeah friends are the ebst part of MMO's IMHO. Kinda boring without them.

The forum warriors actually turned into a multi clan gaming group with a channel on tanks. Great place for platoons and tank company peeps.

Although i am unable to commit to a clan at this time as I have offers from some old MPBT folks that I have to consider as well as the possability of NUKE coming over.

I do but now prefer the EZ8 with the 105mm cannon shooting gold rounds. Its beastly but not worth a damn w/regular ammo...w/that tank/gun its a neccesity to shoot gold. Fortunatley though im in a good clan so doesnt cost a thing.

But dont worry there will be no gold ammo in Mechs...its all about mech configuration, and piloting skills...!
Im sure that will be a very nice change for many folks that loathe the gold ammo shooting noobs like me.

Sup guys...rab357 from PIGs here. A small (10-15 people) group of us are starting a contingent on MWO. Right now we're grouped up with Wolf's Dragoons.

I'm hoping to finish the American heavy tree before taking a break from WoT...just got my M103's engine, so now begins the long, 180K grind to the T110. Hopefully I'll get it and have a bit of time to play it before August 7th. Here's to hoping.

I still like WoT. I know a lot of folks are upset with WG and I don't blame them a bit, my experience has been good but that's just me. Pub matches are still a Vegas crap shoot.

Looking forward to seeing everyone online...I'm pumped that devs seem to want to avoid WoT's weaknesses while borrowing from its methodology. Focusing on tweaking mech variants over long grinds will be a breath of fresh air. Also, if it's true that all the mechs will be equal in terms of effectiveness to some degree then that'll be nice, too. Always fun in WoT to see you're at the bottom of the MM list and you probably won't have a chance to do any good but take a round that was meant for one of the bigger heavies further up the list.

Just thought I'd drop a line since I'll be coming over from Wot also. Can't wait to get at the helm of a mech. I've been on wot since closed beta and was an alpha tester for wowp but will probably ditch both since WG seems determined to run their games into the ground.
