3 ERLL tends to be better because you have more DHS to fire through spooky heat and less face time which the Adder cannot afford. At least that was the consensus from internal testing.

Well, you should be poking when the bad guys are shooting your teammates. Even just a single burn time is far too much for a mech like the Adder to be poking with.

That build relies on you not being the focal point.

How did you set up the internal test, were you literally just poking with each other or did you have Dires and Stalkers and Quickdraws and Grasshoppers there as well. Because those mechs should be where the attention is at, the Adder is off in the corner being a nuisance.

That's how we did it, but the problem is all it takes is one unfortunate shot from a heavier mech to mess your day up, and it isn't like a Raven that can make safer pokes and has the speed to play more away from the main body. It did a solid job, it just wasn't really impressive. The 6 ERML Jenner probably offers more for the team than the 4 ERLL Adder. Yes, they do different things, but the 6 ERML Jenner offers more for the tonnage.

There was a time that I adored the Mist Lynx with 4 cERMLs, so I thought the Jenner would be awesome-sauce with 5-6. Unfortunately, the range nerf came first and it has never felt the same. You have to get too close for comfort in my opinion.

On a map like Polar (where we did the test) it isn't as hard to get within that range as people might think.

I'm more worried about IS LPLs as a 35 tonner at that range.

If you are worried about IS LPLs, you probably aren't taking ERLL Adders in the first place :P.

I'd much rather have the Huntsman, but I wouldn't be to disappointed if we got the Coyotl.
Way better than the Blanner or Viper.

Eh I don't think the Coyotl is better than the Viper, it has 15.5 tons of pod space vs the Vipers 8.5 yes, but it has 5 hardpoints max over it's.. 2 Variants. 3E 2M. It is practically an Ice Ferret. I think I'd rather have the faster more jumpy Viper with either 8E or 6E 1M

Also ya know Coyotl has the Prime and A variant. requires the ol PGI cookin up one

Bump guys! We will probably get announcement in a week or 2!

My safe wish list bet? Based of popular votes
- Firemoth (although slightly nerfed?)
- Black lanner or Viper (hey got fill out more CGB mechs!)
- Night Gyr slight chance of Linebacker (although blah!)
- Turkinna maybe King Fisher.

Hopeful bet? Eh I think we all know that one haha. Though wouldn't be entirely surprised by the Super Nova, but blah laser vomits and arm only weapons!

That list is probably pretty safe. I don't think the Linebacker has a chance to overtake the Nightgyr though. The Viper is ugly but hopefully it'd be chosen to fill out clan weight needs.

True but the B (P?) Variant could fix all the Coyotl's weaknesses.

I'd rather have the Phantom over the Viper myself tbh.

I've got to disagree with your light and medium choices...

Light: Fire Falcon, doesn't go past speed cap. It's a little heavier with more pod space over the Fire Moth.

Medium: Pouncer is a strong contender for the 40t Mech, and would use a lot of art assets already in game. Though I would prefer the Coyotl, due to lack of fixed JJ's and high mounts.

The heavies Night Gry is the better bet over the Linebacker, and Assualts is just not fantastic both have their issues.

So much want for the Fire Moth.

I know there will be those horrified at the weight and lack of armor, but the speed! If we could have it reach full MASC potential without problems (216km/h), then I think it would be workable. I've left two of my Jenner IIC's with the XL315 and I've found it's a whole different style of play once you break the 150km/h barrier.

The potential hardpoints aren't that bad either:

Prime - 2E, 2M
B - 2E, 2B
C - 2M, AMS (might be worth including due to omnipod potential? Unsure of hardpoint locations)
D - 6E

And a potential hero / special variant with 4E and ECM.

At 162km/h / 216km/h. Keen.

Pretty sure next round is an omnimech wave 4. No IIC's hopefully for awhile. Like 8 to 12 months lol.

I agree. Ive spent too much money on this game as it is, so i don't want a pack i might actually decide to buy.

Release an Omni pack. That way my bank balance stays fine. (unless it includes Blood Asp and Nova Cat, which it wont)

Pleeease Kingfisher over Turkina. With those high energy hardpoints it will essentially be a Clan Banshee-3M with a slightly more asymmetric build. Actually better yet, release BOTH!

Releasing IIC's of the unseen roght after they just got released would be incredibly lazy to me. Let th IS club play with thier new mechs and allow them some uniqueness. Plus IIC's are rather eh to me? Would rather see real Clan designs not IS chassis slightly altered and given clan tech. Would rather get a Bane, Grizzly, Stone Rhion (though this one I feel should stay out or be only one varriant for it being rare with in the clans), Mad CatMk.II, Super Nova, ect).

Wave 5 I expect to be Cougar, Pouncer, Nova Cat, Blood Asp. This one being a ways off though and hopefully after the MC-MK.II release (imo ETA 18 months+ for release)

If you bought all of wave 3 and wave 4 King Fisher is the extra mech? I could go along with that.
