Shrug. I solo PUG mostly, run a LRM boat, goes away from the game for extended periods of time, and here I am just having squeaked into Tier 2.

Gee I must have cheated my way up, aimbotz with LRMs.. someone please report me. <-- this is a joke.

If you want to go up, being able to do damage is important. After that, being able to win is important. This is because a high damage output can offset a loss, while a high damage output with a win will push PSR up.

Paradoxically, if you are a super-sniper who can snipe out everyone's cockpit with AC40? That doesn't help your PSR climb as much. Go figure.

After the above two, it's really all those in-game bonuses that start stacking. Scouting, Spotting, In Formation, Saviour Kills, Kill Most Damage.. Let's be honest here, if you aren't stacking these up in a game, you're not really what PGI considers a team player, and your PSR climb is slowed. Go around mugging people as a pack though, and suddenly your score will climb.

End of day what PSR really is, is a way to push players to play as a team. Good one learn to read the minimap and anticipate team movement, and be where they are needed when they are needed.

A LRM boat out of position is worthless so I end up spending a lot of time looking at the minimap trying to keep up with all those ****** brawlers eager to close. Those same brawlers in the right place to quickly put down the same enemy my LRMS have been sanding away gives the team a numerical advantage. At the end, if everyone understands and plays their part in a team, then everyone's PSR goes up.

How much cheats did you use though? As i stated before it is impossible under current system to advance, especially since damage you do is not being considered at all in determining your score.

Three:
WLF-2
CRB-27B
MAL-1P

Wrong. Again.

50% of your damage is added to your match score.

Posted Image

In the first two screenshots and equal match score of 123 meets an equal damage output of 179. However in the 319 damage example the difference in match score is 35. And the last both examples with a disparity of one damage have a 48 match score gap. Your actions can change the matchscore outcome in the last example it is 10% despite making roughly the same damage. If i remember correctly if you devide the damage by 2 you get it's influence in matchscore. In the first example of 179 damage counts for 73% of the total matchscore in the last both you have a gap in between 80,6% to 72,5%. In the current PSR System damage makes a hugh deal of the matchscore. Assists, KMDD, UAV kills, scouting Bonus, Flanking and all that adds up, but it is not that much. Non or less you should get them since those little things can make a difference.

179 damage adds 90 to your match score, which is covered by the displayed match score. So both of those agree with me.

None of which contradicts what I said. Did you pay attention to what I said, or did you assume I was saying something else?

50% of your damage is added to your match score.

In no way does that say or imply that there's nothing else added to match score, also.

Yes, I've explained that in detail in other posts in other threads.

That's exactly what I said. 50% of damage is added to match score.

Damage typically accounts for 70-80% of match score, but it varies wildly from game to game and can go both higher and lower. I've seen it as low as 60% in my games, and as high as nearly 90%.

I'm not sure what your point was?

What's so good about the tier system that makes you want to climb it?

It means nothing, the more you play the higher tier you will become.

Even at tier 1 people still shoot at walls and have crap builds, and run off doing their own thing leaving assaults to die.

If you think the game changes the higher tier you go up, you will be very disappointed.
