TBH, this does not surprise me in the least. The one time I heard a definitely female voice over the comms, half the team was swooning (pretty much the same stuff you see in the comments under one of Tina's devlog videos...nothing offensive). In Dota, where I've heard more female voices on the comms, they still felt the need to say at some point "I know, right? Girls play video games!" Having to say that/deal with that every time I jumped into a game would get real old real fast. I'd probably use a voicechanger too.
