IS side Wolfhounds definitly. M-Pulse Laser work well, will have to try Small Pulse as well.

Clan side: Don't know, I play my Adders and Jenners to little. The Ach was ok, but it was not my style

My first mechs are Jenners. Continuous, slow improvement. Elited the JR7-D a while ago, elited the JR7-F and and OXIDE this weekend. Once in a while I make a decent contribution in PUG drops.

Why Lights? Love the movement, speed, challenge of staying alive. Also the opportunity to work together with other lights. Why Jenner? Primarily it is the iconic IS Light. I played one in the original Mechwarrior PC game. Played it on a 486 and it was out-of-control insane!

Comandos and Locusts are providing me the best fun in this game I give edge to Comandos 1B and 3A becouze no other mech in game made my adrenaline pump so hard and so often.

IS: Locusts and Commandos. Fun mechs to ride and they can perform well. My second best match was in a Locust (the best one was in a Panther. >1200 dmg in both matches).

Clan: Mist Lynx. It's a Commando with Jump Jets, yay!

Commando 2D with SRM4 and SRM 6 and 1 MDL as well as the ECM. Fun for harrassing assaults and other mechs engaged with your teamates. Breaks lines if your smart with it. Watch out for your Popeye arms going off easily Only light that I am afraid of is the Oxides packing more SRMS than me. Otherwise, everyone ignores this little bugger until the end. Played this Commando since start of game but it's more for fun than serious play. Yes, I own the Locusts package but not concentrated on them at all for some reason. Really my blackjack 1X does everything my lights do and more ( medium that can go 114kph with speedtweak ) so I don't use my lights as much now.

No surprises, I'm a fan of the Arctic Cheetah. It's fast. It's cute. It's deadly. What more could you want in a Light 'mech?

Although as far as favourite goes, I'd have to say the Raven - I've enjoyed it in every Mech[word] game I've played and this one is no exception. Sleek, pretty fast, JJs to taste, pretty shmexy and capable of a varied payload - missiles, light ballistics (or an AC20 if you're brave!) and all flavours of lasers. Flasers? Flavers? Hm... Or throw on a TAG, NARC & BAP for ALL THE ASSISTS!

Looking at my stats... Arctic Cheetah is top dog, closely followed by Wolfhounds (all except the 2 variant) & the Mist Lynx (!!!) in 2nd, then the Panther 9R & Kit Fox as joint 3rd. My lovely Raven is... not looking that good. On the other hand, I played them first and haven't tried them much outside of CW/FW for a while... let's change that!

[Edit] Honourable mention goes to the Puma. I loved that thing in MW3, it was my go-to 'mech for 1v1 PvP. Legging Annihilators was so much fun

It's a shame they don't perform quite as well here... so give me a Pouncer! [/Edit]

For IS, I have to say Spider, because Jumping is fun.

For Clan, there is only one winner for me. Mist Lynx. Nobody ever pays attention to me unless they are supremely killhungry, I'm fast enough and small enough to outrun the bloodthirsty Heavies and Assaults that try to play chase the squirrel with me, and I am capable of being a complete jerk to said Heavies and Assaults with a single CERPPC, which is absolutely hilarious.

Raven for sure. When I was little, it was just because it looked cool but now I also appreciate it's niche in electronic warfare.

On the clan side, you can't beat the Solitaire. Unbelievably fast, packs a crazy punch for its weight, and is hotter than hell. I was so happy when I discovered that they put it into the MekTek rerelease of MW4: Mercs.

All the locusts and commandos... try the TDK. It is quite fun. Maximum speed, with 4 Mlas or 4 splash, depending on your preferred flavor.

Best part? 167.2kph with speed tweak. Sucker moves. I also rock a bap as a counter to the lights that think they are sneaky. That being said, I do want to try out the locusts one day...
