Failure, would be necroing a thread from two years ago to not talk about the original topic, which now more than possibly has heavily outdated information.

Community Warfare at this point would be welcome but don't hold your breaths folks PGI cannot even fix bugs without creating more bugs in the process.

Many teams have lost pilots because of loosing interest in a game that is moving forward at a snails pace. I know of teams that have completely disbanded.

It's sad when people who don't understand software design hold forth on the subject in high, condescending dudgeon.

The game is proceeding very well, especially given the huge and unexpected technical hurdles the design team has overcome.

We've grown here, the only losses were of the emo/tard variety.

When the Clans are brought into Community Warfare, how will PGI keep IS House and Merc units from purchasing and using Clan mechs in drops against each other and against the Clans?

ima clanner, but who says the IS cant use Salvaged Clan mechs against the Clans themselves, and vice versa?

All the information we are being given like quick patch community warfare is old stuff. The problem they have is don't promise what you cant deliver.

As it was explained to me:

If the majority of people in a match want to play in first person, then everyone in the match will be forced into first person only. If the majority of people in a match want to play in third person, then everyone will be forced into third person only.

No separate servers, but if you can out-vote the people in favor of the other view, no one in the match will use it.

if the majority wants 3rd person, just disconnect and run a different mech till you get a group that does want to first person. same goes for those who want 3rd person and everyone votes first person. oh the fun we shall have...

If that is the case, then I hope that we will be able to drop out of the game as soon as it starts without any negative effects, like your mech getting locked for 15 minutes. Again, this was marketed as a first person game and myself and many others play it partially because of that fact, forcing us to play otherwise is "bait and switch".
