If that is the case, then I hope that we will be able to drop out of the game as soon as it starts without any negative effects, like your mech getting locked for 15 minutes. Again, this was marketed as a first person game and myself and many others play it partially because of that fact, forcing us to play otherwise is "bait and switch".

Are you saying that PGI are a bunch of master baiters?

This post is AWESOME! I think you are completely off base with your assessment, but the way you threw insults without actually saying anything was fantastic.

I think that there are many parts to this game that they are slowly trying to weave together and it takes time. I too wish that they could wave the magic code wand and make all bugs disappear and quadruple the content next patch, but that isn't happening. I am holding out for CW to make an assessment on whether this game is going to end up the way that I thought it would when I paid for the founders package. I still think that I have gotten my money's worth even if I stopped playing at this point.

Is PGI going to make mistakes, Mr. Perfect? You bet. Are there things about this game that I think could be different to make it more fun for me? Without a doubt. Is this going to be the game that you would have designed? By the intelligence that is evident in your post, I sure hope not.

I am deeply offended that a moderator has not banned some of the 12 year old statements made here. Their is no need for such talk and should not be excepted. They want to ask for more money? I have been here since the beginning. Never have I spent so much already for less than I already have. Now they ask for more for what? So we can play a free LOL game? What if you do not want to join a house or other organization but will fight for who needs someone? Guess that leaves you out , even a founder or someone who just started. How much would you pay vs. being with a merc unit or whatever? We already pay enough for equipment and other items. This the new world Company that has no concern for the customer that pay their salary's but to everyone that puts up with it. I have seen many improvements and less crashes which is good. The idea of the 3rd person view I can live with if I understand it right. But in the original page of joining the game its clearly states first person only. Fool me once shame on you . Fool me twice shame on me. If you complain and no one cares get off. Sadly I see no way of being able to getting your money back which was great enough to get them a financial backer. I wait and see what will really happen. However considering what I have seen so far by the elitist attitude of many teams and the company namely PIG, my hopes are not that great.

honestly am glad that I have not purchased anything yet . the amount of content is quite limited to speak politely . also maybe before PGI implements a major overhaul like CW perhaps they can fix the old bugs like the HUD or vanishing textures ?

The way i read alot of these posts a bunch of people want a free game were they get everything and have to not give up money. Making games is a business and they have to make money, you like getting paid for your work i assume. Is a contractor going to do free work on your house, probably not. They have to make money to continue improving the game. I have no problem with how it is progressing. So for all the crybaby ******* on here "thebman" is gonna put AC20 up your crybaby ***.

Sirs;

The answer is simple; don't buy MC until the Community Warfare/Metagame comes online. Since many promises haven't been kept (third person comes to mind) the salient breaking point will be what those PGI MOST wants online with them - those NOT playing MWO NOW - see when the Big Show starts. Ok, founders and dedicated folks aren't the concern of the Developers, that's their decision. Ok, they can change their minds; it's their game. I agree with that. They can even say one thing then do a one-eighty in the interest of garnering more players; again, it's their game. But if they want money from me or anyone concerned about the way things are going, they'll have to earn it. I was told next month the Community Warfare would go online, so I expect that. After that comes 12 mans and the Clans. We'll see. If the game gets bigger, (more maps) better, (fewer crashes, HUD failures) and more playable (stop buffing and nerfing) then maybe I'll shell out some bucks.

Join me, let them know what players think.

Or not. Your call. I think they watch their financial statements more than they monitor these comments...

ok I read the post, thanks by the way . I can't understand most of the technical details but I get the point . all I am saying is I hope they resolve the currently existing bugs before they add more content and ( by extension ) create new bugs .

There's multiple teams at work on this game. There's a seperate team adding content and another team fixing bugs. When they add new content they're doing bugtesting in the background before they release it. They now have tools and specific builds they just recently developed (As mentioned here) specifically for this purpose. New content should produce very few, if any, bugs from this point on. Although, this is the point of us Beta testers. If we do find anything we should report it to them.

I can understand your frustration. Many of the existing bugs have been around since closed beta and persist to this day. Now that they have the tools to do much more tests rapidly I believe that things will get better Soon™.

On the flipside, I want them to continue releasing content more specifically Community Warfare. I've been biding my time specifically for this and am anxious to see what this brings to the game.

well you have made a believer out of me . I do understand that the process of videogame development is tedious . I suppose I was merely frustrated by seeing the same bugs over and over again , but seeing as they are not very frequent anymore and reading the patch notes I can see that they are fixing this problem . also have they released a new target date for implementation yet ?

You should fix the decals system, stop being silly about prices of colors and camo, and allow us artistically talented folks to create decals in game. I suggest you look at Forza 2, 3, etc for an example of a successful system. Their storefront system allows you to trade and sell art.

I'm still in the top twenty of their artists and haven't touched the game in years and would LOVE to give away realistic carbon fiber, awesome art, or even just the whole shark face WWII fighter look to my fellow players if you let me draw inside this game or upload custom decals somehow.

Stop being tight though and charging lots of money for colors, especially with decals, you do that and you will kill all creativity within the game and doom it to just being another failed online MMO.

As it was explained to me:

If the majority of people in a match want to play in first person, then everyone in the match will be forced into first person only. If the majority of people in a match want to play in third person, then everyone will be forced into third person only.

No separate servers, but if you can out-vote the people in favor of the other view, no one in the match will use it.

Good lord that is the most F'd up system ever conceived by ape or man. I would love to sack kick the mental midget who envisioned that system.

Implementation of Community Warfare has been stated to be introduced "in May and through to the fall" in an older Ask The Devs - Answers. The end of Summer 2013 target is also when they hope to go full release for MWO.

I'd have to read through the recent ATD threads to find the more recent update on it.

You can figuratively "sack kick" them, by dropping out of any game where the 3pv people win the vote. If enough people do this, then there will be epic QQ about long waits to get into games and of lopsided games, if more people drop out on one side or the other, then maybe PGI will realize that separate queues are a much better solution.

Yeah, I remember the WOW PVP decay, that was not very fun, was down to Lieutenant before they changed the system.

Will faction people fight faction people, Merc corps people fight Merc corps people, and lone wolves fight lone wolves, but none of them will fight each other?
No more fighting lone wolves?
