Will there be other non mech vehicles that support the mech pilots, ie commanders being able to call it choppers, LRM vehicles etc.?

Sounds interesting and looks like it could be nice balance between player/merc unit freedom and maintaining the time/story line which I am happy to see. Am also curious about the periphery states, look forward to seeing the list.

Thanks for shiny map, I do love maps!

As for Questions:

What sort of decay rate can we expect on LPs ?(if it has even been decided yet), I would hope players wont be overly penalized for taking a few weeks away for holidays, exams, jury duty, family crises, nagging partners etc. The option to mark your pilot as away on leave a limited amount of times per year maybe?

How many border worlds are we talking about? I mean will merc factions be able to grow in size to rival minor periphery states? Will these border worlds be within faction territory? Would I be far off in guessing they would be within a factions borders and the merc unit is purely getting bonuses for being on site its not actually ruling said planet as an independent state?

Will a player be able to have a House pilot for pick up matches and a (completely separate) Merc pilot for clan play on same account?

Some of my questions are simular to many spoken already but
How will the contract or que system allow you to choose how many players you want to drop on a contract?
Will there be options to pick 1-50 players to make a drop?
Or will the contract state this is a 2 man or 20 man mission? In this sector of this planet?
Will there be dropship animations before and after the mission completes?
Will the mapping system update and give live statistics after your mission?
Will salvage rights LP & Cbills from the mission on mechs won or lost be avalible from faction houses for the next mission played?
How many missions or battles can your merc corp play in at once?Granted you have 100 players or more?or can you all play the same mission?
How long do you have to be inactive before you lose rank and privlages 24hours 48hours 72hours,4weeks,or?
Is there incentives to having a bigger faction or merc corp 100-500 players rather than a smaller one under 100 players?

P.S I must have a thousand questions but the end result will be (Are we having fun yet)I think the answer will be(YES we ARE). ;)

I realize I'm totally jumping the gun here...but what the hell!

Will the Clans ever become part of this COMMUNITY WARFARE(relevance!). Or better said...will the Clans eventually be the fourth player type?

To expand on this question, will there be a honor point system instead of a loyalty point system?

Assuming that Clans become playable.

for how long do you work with CryEngine 3 now?
Plus: Do you think it is generally on-par with Unreal Engine? Were there other reasons to switch besides destructibility?

I would love to hear the answer for that, but this Q&A is community warfare only, sorry. ;)

Will units be able to deploy to multiple planets at once? And if so, will commanders be given interplanetary communication to keep up with them?

I'm sure there will be players who are eager and willing to participate as part of a House Faction, but the benefits and freedoms offered by being a mercnry seem like it will draw the greater number of players towards that path. How do you, as the developer, plan to entice players to participate in the more regimented structure of the House Units versus loosing the majority of players to the freedom of the Mercenary Units?

I'm also worried about a similar issue arising regarding Clan technology and battlemechs. Do you think you will be able to offer an incentive for players to continue using IS battlemechs, even years after the Clan invasion when (according to the BTech lore) more powerful and statistically superior Clan mechs should be available?

I think the range of questions about Loyalty Points has been pretty well covered. A few people have asked about battle sizes, but for the most part only skirted the topic. My simple questions regarding the Community Warfare system are:
  • Since there are so many worlds in the Inner Sphere, how many battles do you expect to have running concurrently?
  • What percentage of worlds will be available as battlegrounds?
  • How often will a world become contested?
Further:
  • What happens when the overall active player count drops? The admittedly small Shattered Galaxy had 40 map sectors each on two worlds. Most people just sat idle in the faction capitals. MechAssault 2's Conquest died down pretty quickly. Chromehounds's multiplayer was eventually killed after four years.
  • What, aside from the Loyalty system, will keep players motivated to keep playing and participate? Frankly, I think a motivation to better your standing is a lot more effective than motivation to lose what you've gained.
  • I think back to prior posts where you said that rankings would be based more on skill and teamwork than how much money a player puts into the game, doesn't the Loyalty system, in substituting time for money, sort of undermine that goal?
  • As many have said, things happen in our lives that will interrupt game time. Others covered personal vacations and the like, but what happens to keep MW:O players engaged when another Call of Duty or Skyrim comes out? Personally, I haven't touched any other games since two titles of very differing flavor came out in the middle of last month, Saints Row: The Third and Anno 2070. What can we do (aside from checking in every day or so) to keep from getting hurt by our inactivity?

Do you find the people at the office look at you differently now that your FB picture has been posted?
Do you still have your tiara, and do you break it out on special occasions?
If you where a forum member, and wanted to suck up and get into Beta, what type of food/alcohol would you send to Bryan , Russ, or Paul?

Will merc corps earn any of their own money? or will any c-bills gained from military action by a merc corp just be directly passed to the members that participated?

Will there be "Off-Map" assets to call in during missions? Can I call in an artillery barrage or an Aerospace strike perhaps with some type of "Command Points" and will the role-based warfare you seem to be emphasizing allow me to bonus this with trained skills and/or specially designated command mechs?

MERCS are knocking my doors down, looking for a job. I need to know I will be able to afford to pay the best of the best as they come to me for their contracts.

Thank you.

Reading from your blog. This system seems very much similar in ways to Multiplayer Battletech 3025. Which I see as a great thing. There is alot of differences I see too. (factions, Merc units, Lonewolves ect.) Anyway my question is this. Will the maps be randomly generated similar to how mpbt 3025 did it? MPBT had I think if I remember correctly 5 different types of maps that it could generate, depending on what type of planet you went on. From Ice, desert, Greenery(Mountainous.) And some other that I can't remember.

How will planetary warfare work as a whole in map design. Do you guys plan to randomly generate maps completely. Depending on the planets. Or will all planets have the same set of maps. At all times. Or do you guys plan on making a huge chitload of maps Where it will actually feel like things are randomly done. Or last will the players be able to choose what maps they can drop on. Kinda like a lobby system. MW4 style.

Will players be able to host games basically is what I am asking. Or will everything be automatically done by the game itself..Just set in a lobby and wait for players to join. Then select your mechs. Map is automatically generated/selected. and bam every one drops.

Thanks for your time ;)
