That's it? Not even a "Die Clanner" anthem?

What is it with you guys lately? Chef making reasonable and rational posts in another thread and then you just phoning it in for your trolling?

Mediocre. We expect Akira, you deliver Last Airbender.

They are taking it easy after their last holiday MischiefSC.

They are prolly being watched by 'Big Brother' and have been warned not to step over a line.

Have to give them credit for following said line, question is, for how long can they hold their inner trolls in.

My suspicion is that they just players and nerds like the rest of us, just having a giggle at playing the villain.

However I expect them to stick it to the man and keep being funny. I could point to 50 posts on the GenDis forum worse than anything NKVA has posted in the last year (direct personal insults to people by name, etc) that get ignored.

The problem is not and has never been NKVA taking themselves or anyone else here too seriously. It's been some other incredibly pompous people taking themselves too seriously and going apeshit because NKVA isn't taking them seriously.

Cuz big stompy robots Forum Warfare is srs bizns.

Fellow Trothkin,

The time has come to return home. Our ranks are thinning; more and more pilots leave us every day. Soon, after pilots are finished farming loyalty points, only true Clan loyalists will remain.

Our ‘Mechs, once the admiration of all, have suffered many rounds of setbacks and no are longer a match for the magically-quirked machines of the Inner Sphere. Our side torsos are too exposed; our arms are too low; our heat is too high; our beams are too long; our auto cannons are too imprecise; our armor is too fragile.

Some Clan chassis got a recent upgrade but they are still fundamentally flawed by design. We await the Kodiak, but it appears that it will not be enough to fight off waves of Atlases and Black Nights which appear armored by divinity. There is currently little special about a Clan ‘Mech...

Yet, we do not seek technology superiority. We seek only a balanced fight.

The time has come for us to return to Clan space until our technology is upgraded. If our
enemy is smart, they are rooting for improvements from our manufacturer, otherwise they will have no one to fight but themselves. History says that does not bode well for them.

Let us return home and retool. In the meantime, we will only skirmish alongside our fellow warriors in regular battles.

Come join the many Clanners who have already boycotted Faction Warfare until we are truly competitive once again. It may be the only way our manufacturer fixes what is left of us.

KCS

Clanner wailing and gnashing of toothless gums becomes so prevalent they must learn to do it in-character, ha ha ha.

Fine:

1. There aren't enough clanners left to boycott FW, but if there were...

2. It would be a great way to save face. If this boycott results in 5 fewer clan teams queuing up each night for FW, that's 5 fewer clan teams that will lose horribly to superior Inner Sphere pilots in their overquirked mechs.

“The best revenge against those who forced it on is to best them at it.” -Clan Wolf ideology on Operation Revival

The best way to stick it to those who nerfed our mechs...is to keep winning Community Warfare and its competitions.

People get furious when Clans keep winning.

So why would we want to give in and stop playing?

Was that so hard?

You quit trying and you'll end up like Adam Sandler. Take pride in your work, even if your work is being irritating. Adam Sandler got rich being an irritating ***** - he's like the NKVA of Hollywood. However he quit caring, put no real effort in and just does movies wherever he wants to take a paid vacation. Now he's not even an irritating *****, he's just that guy who used to be worth the effort to dislike.

It's important that NKVA put in the effort to be worth hating, otherwise we're stuck with Clanners and they're barely worth holding in moderate contempt. By and large though we absolutely effing hate you guys.

Why give up doing what makes you really special?

That is pretty much game over pilot and team skill being equal. IS has the best assault (Atlas), the best heavy (Black Knight), arguably the best medium (pick one) and its a close call between the Arctic Cheetah and Firestarter, et al. Its hard to win in CW with the Cheetah being your most competitive mech among all the weight classes.

Push forward towards Terra again and touch Marik boarders because ever since we got blocked off its been no fun going back to friendly joustes with Seiner and Davion. We got so bored we took a Liao planet.

Having gone back over those screencaps.... one of them involved what is clearly a unit in The Faction Which Can Not Be Named Except In a Complementary Way who clearly ejected out. It was a 48-0 game with only 14 kills spread among NKVA.

Also...

It's almost shocking isn't it? Good thing we aren't naming and shaming. That might cause a swarm of report button actions (but really are only screen shots emailed in).

Getting some balance in the game when you have two technology bases and equal numbers isn't easy. If the Clan tech was as overpowered as it was when it destroyed the board game FW matches would have to be 12 IS vs 5 Clan mechs.

I'll never understand how the release of Clans 'Destroyed' the board game.. did FASA also come round to everyone's house and set fire to their copy of the rule books from before they were released? No? Then, if you didn't like them, why not just continue to play 3025 BT and ignore them?

This man is correct because if the clans reach Marik's borders they'll start winning matches again

I think when people say that, what they are really getting at is when the clans were introduced, the various tech differences made the game imbalanced per se (that was the whole point at first), but as time went on the developers tried to play with that imbalance (remedy is not the right word, since the initial imbalance was intentional), by mixing and matching tech. That latter mixing and matching lead to rampant power creep. This is what "killed" the game (if you buy that the game was ever "killed"). Once you render your base tech effectively useless by regularly introducing intrinsically better tech, the race to always have the newest best stuff, alienates A LOT of your base players.

At least that is what I think the oft quoted TT devs who supposedly said that "the clans killed the game" were getting at.

I dont know what you are smoking, but I want some.

He's like, oh the horror. My Platinum Clan XL is now just Gold..... while the IS peasants cruise around in Copper piece XL engines (if they are dumb enough to use them)........

Jeez. What do you not get. Anything less than mech destruction when a ST gets blown out is a bonus.
