When I was a kid, I became aware of a phrase that went something like "Taking one's bat and ball home". The meaning, as I understood it, was of a hypothetical situation. Like a group of children wanting to play a game of cricket, which would require someone to bring a bat and a ball to play it with (wickets can be made out of practically anything). This child (the owner of the bat) might enjoy the game so long as they're the one batting and scoring runs, as that's the fun part. If they lost the privilege of batting by being sent out, and therefore forced to field or bowl instead, or if they disliked how the game was being played in general, then they might take their bat and ball and leave, and allow nobody else to play out of juvenile spite.

Reading the OP of this thread brought that to mind. Don't know why. It's pretty late I guess.

My dumb American brain has no way of interpreting this concept. If only there was some sort of ball with wooden stick analogy that could be used for us Americans.

Pretty sure its the pilot skill in the clans that has gone downhill, I've been running 200 tons of xl'd IS mediums with basic skills and not having any issues - it should at least be a freaking challenge, which is why I choose to run under ton.

But, when 90% of clanners just want to sit back and run ERLL builds and can't figure out why they get their arses handed to them everytime the IS teams decide to push back into them they just tip the scales by implementing stupidity into their side of the balance.
