Actually looking again it seems the enemy might be in G12 somewhere. Possibly a Cicada 3M with ERLL and ECM poking. When you have your back against the wall you take front hits.
4 seconds in, hits on your right from main group
6 seconds in, hits on your right coming from G12 / H12
11, from G12 again
13, some from main group on your right
21 seems the strangest as you're looking in the right direction. It's hard to tell with the quality of youtube

When you are taking fire and running behind the building, some cerll strafe you, prolly from the hunchie, and as the building is to your right, you're taking fire from the left and rear as you round the building.
You double back the other way and then take fire from your right. You put up the map screen as you're being hit again but it's from your right. Notice your Front Right Torso is cored when you are done looking at the map. That puts the H12/I12 area as possible locations. When you face the building at the end thinking he's up on top, you get shot out in the rear CT.
I think he was the one place you didn't look. To your 90 degree left when you're going around the building at first, then 90 degree to your right (same zone you never checked) as you came back around.

But how do we explain the YELLOW lasers hitting him?
I saw NO blue lasers, only Er meds graze him. But i will watch it again....

look a the 0:16 second mark...there is clearly a cicada in H13
that doesn't explain the lack of laser fire rendering though
Edit: oops....meant to quote the OP

I was playing 1v1 on Polar with a friend a couple of days ago and we were both riding QKD-5Ks with ERLLs and I was the first to spot him. I began shooting him and he couldn't see the fire at all. I was literally standing there shooting him for a good 30 odd secs and he was looking around but couldn't see any laser fire at all. Both of us had steady pings and no lag issues.
This looks like something similar.

Thus, as he was getting shot at ~a KM, the lasers were barely visible (if not at all). Sure, little damage, but enough for a red cored CT.
The Cicada is clearly visible when you freeze frame at the 15s mark.

Found it! The thing my image is pointing to, even has the hump in the middle with 2 little antennas. When you went to the other side he could still see you, but when you twisted to look you twisted just fast/far enough to not see him go back down. Not seeing the laser fire.. well, likely just due to the angle.. only ever shot when you weren't looking his way.

That's a rock
This is him
It's annoying because that's only there briefly before the OP rotates and placing one of the cockpit struts directly over it

And he would've gotten away with it, if it wasn't for those damn mech detectives.

Good point, but you can usually still see the thick/bright end of the laser reaching out towards you pretty easily.
