I'd like to see something akin to this one with a thinner crotch area, and standard humanoid legs. Upper torso/arms are really pretty sweet, kinda like this

It's been bothering me and i have to point it out...

You misspelled "sketches" in the title.

Other than that, bloody good work on them! Really like the Cyclops.

Very good! I hope we get something like that for the Marauder IIC.

I like it, but would prefer something not that fat. Cyclops was always known to be thin-armored.

Oh, I do love big guns too.

Hey, can I offer a repaint (or several repaints) in exchange of your take on my Overkill design? I really like your Stone Rhinos (something like that would be terrific).

2016 Marauder Mk2

I do like the idea of the MAD II actually being a standard marauder chassis, with extra armour added, and more structure added to the hips and legs.
Imagine the slim marauder chassis we have now, with:
Heavier plated leg armour, particularly around joints, hooved feet.
Slightly heavier arms, maybe a bit of hardpoint inflation for 3 energy vertically stacked.
Reinforced shoulders, protecting heavier internals, deeper over ST half of joint, more enclosed armour "pauldron" plate on arm
Extended "wing" skirts on either side of "engine pods" similar to small wing skirts on KGC.
Armour extensions nearly closing intakes on front of "engine pods" Idea taken from MAD IIc
Armour plate covering rear half of cockpit, closing field of view from within to front only.

Marauder Solaris Special Edition (MAD-SSE)
Posted Image

After the invasion of the Clans in 3050-3051 ComStar made attempts to recreate the clan on the basis of existing technologies in the Inner Sphere. The most successful of these projects is considered Rakshasa - Trying to recreate the Timber Wolf by catapults. However, there were other attempts.

The fourth branch of the design team of Aston Corporation (satellite ComStar) led by master engineer K. Curtis initially were against the base chassis-based Catapult, believing rightly that pereutyazhelenie chassis 10 tons will create more problems than designing from scratch. The basis for copying TBR-A was taken Marauder. The project was called Marauder-SE. One of the main engineering challenges Curtis put technical solutions would allow the search copy clan XL engine with its vitality. This greatly moved the development time and the time of submission of the first working prototypes of Rakshasa in 3053 draft MAD-SE There was for the most part in the minds of the designers team.

To their credit, they managed to find Curtis successful as they thought the solution - part of the non-core parts of the engine XL has been transferred into the structure of the body, on the one hand possible to create a complete analogue of Clan-XL 340 with dimensions 2-6-2. However, this also led to the fact that the engine non-removable. At the end of 3054 was a prototype MAD-SE. However, at this point ComStar already made a bid for Rakshasa, also criticized not the universality of the chassis with non-removable engine and the overall high cost of non-standard parts. With the permission of ComStar manual Aston pereoboruzhovali existing at that time 3 prototype units to take part in the fighting on Solaris7 causing BattleMech received an updated chassis and the name of the MAD-SSE.

In 3055 Aston team arrived on Solaris. In the big leagues to "reject" mechs
reacted cautiously but in the same year, the mechs proved convincing superiority habitual counterparts in a series of qualifying events. After that, in the hangar Aston is a strong fire, in which at undermining the ammunition killed most of the team of designers. Some of the bodies were never found. All three existing at the time the sample was destroyed in the explosion, set of spare parts, in fact exploded fur, and for the most part has been lost in the explosion. Taking into account the fire safety of suspected sabotage. The investigation yielded nothing, the collected materials of the case transferred to ComStar.
