I voted for MC. Good for every mode, balanced spawn points. Tactics make or break a team on the map.

Polar Highlands is of the best balanced maps in the game which allows different, even the most unconventional approaches.

Please not Canyon Network, it may be one of the better looking maps, but it is seriously unbalanced in favour of the northern spawning team. The north team has better access to the central part thanks to easily accessible bridges, ramps and more canyons leading to the middle which would in turn give them an unfair advantage of an easy early cap to Theta (you dont need to cap 100% to get the tick). after that they are also at an advantage to defending Theta with their main group while the scouts can hold 2 outlying cap points.
Just about any other map is better for a one round per matchup tournament like this.
Caustic Valley is more or less symmetrical with loads of open space for maneuvering.
Frozen City is not symmetrical, but there is also little to hamper movement (like narrow canyons with sheer cliffs for non-JJ mechs)
Mining collective is dark, but for that it is nearly perfectly symmetrical and does not give one side any advantage or disadvantage over the other).
Polar Highlands is OK, loads of space, many ditches you can get out of without needing JJs, may be a bit too large for 8v8 though.
Tourmaline Desert is similar to Frozen city in it being unsymmetrical, but many movement options for both teams.

Map should be random.
My guess is that on Canyon Network we're gonna have only sniping matches.
Random or at least mining collective or frozen city.

Please take Theta, easy win for the other team

If it has to be one map, then it needs to be balanced in may ways: teams starting points, hot vs. cold map, long range vs. brawl tactics, long distances vs short distances.
From the list, for me, only canyon network gets close to being balanced.
My very personal 5Ct on the others:
Caustic - to hot, limited brawl / long range options
Mining - my second choice, but rather short/med ranged playstyles supported
Tourmaline - my third choice, but to hot again, supports passive sniper play
Polar highlands - far too long distances, let the cap race begin.... too long ranged as well
Frozen - not a bad map for intense fighting, but too short ranged, not as tactics rich as canyon
Looking forward to a good tournament. Thanks for setting this up, guys.

One map for whole tournament is boring and stupid.

Well, this is .... original. Has any of the PGI peeps taking care of this event participated in a gaming tourney or any competition of any sort?
One map, even one with unbalanced spawn points, that can be worked with.
One game, one team with advantage. Are you going to control and make sure every team gets 50% of their matches on Team 1 and 50% on Team 2?

Yeah, it has some unbalanced spawn points. Southern spawn is much better in comp, which is opposite of what people think here. The northern side can get to theta quicker, but that is in most cases a deathtrap against a opposition which have easy access to the superior D4 position.

I would vote for the best map ever -> Terra Therma !
But I cannot !
Why ?
Great map design, many strategic options, clear visibility on a long distance and the heat makes it harder for those 8 Clan Lazors builds, which running around just ALPHA striking.
So please add Terra Therma to the voting option and it will soon lead the votes !

All maps in the game should be used and a randomization program should present 5 prior to banning.
