While the shield arms look truly impressive, they're too low to matter. The Kodiak looks like an Atlas wearing football shoulderpads, and the Atlas
already looks like it's wearing pads. All you're going to have to do is "aim high" and the Kodiak will be cored as easily as any other Assault Mech. No amount of twisting is going to protect those pads (or CT) using the arms.
It's going to have to rely on speed and agility. Luckily it'll be able to carry an XL 375 with essentially Dire Wolf levels of firepower, so it should be fine.
