Just played a bit on lunch. May need to play with the loadout a bit. Feels like an Arctic Cheetah without ECM.

Anyone playing the Medusa? If so what build are you thinking? The face time and long cooldown with the streaks didn't seem to be worth it to me. Maybe a switch to a SRM would be better?

SRM6 1t Ammo and 6 small pulse or small lasers will net you a pretty good romp. Just be careful about losing the arms and be smart about how you choose your fights.

VPR-M "Laser-Noodle"

Runs sort of like like a ERSL nova made babies with an arctic cheetah

It's the Micronova, an oven that moves 80% faster and jumps ~100% higher.

4 MPL is fun hot but fun, 8 SPL is a bit too hot but you can try it. 5 ERML's is a standard build on one and it works well enough for ranged poking. Sadly the magic here is the medusa

The energy hardpoints go in at cockpit height on the Viper. Peek-a-boo has never been so satisfying.

Something I slapped together
VPR-A Stock Omnis Dueler

If you're going to run stock on the B, I suggest seeing the above Gaboon Viper post.

It can twist/roll damage very well.

The acceleration quirks on the Medusa mean that it can twist off damage VERY well.

The stock medusa build isn't bad and you can make something quite like it with the A variant. Try 1 SRM6 +artemis, 5x ER Small, 1 heat sink, active probe... That seems to work pretty well (I did that from memory so might be off slightly on the tonnage... I had played around with a TC in there somewhere (not worth it) and a mix of ER smalls and SPLs (might be worth it... hard to tell).

The mech is super fast and agile, probably the most maneuverable mech in the game at present when you combine its speed and jump jets. It essentially flies through the air and playing it on something like Mining Collective is just TONS of fun. You can get around the map, hit from close high up awkward angles and then disappear to strike again from another angle. Stay moving and don't pop out more than twice from one place.

one of my favorites so far, but why not just use the A and get the heat gen?

unless your'e using it for the 5-ERML build, which is pretty good too

PPC with a TC is kinda fun so far, nearly hitscan projectiles, but yeah severely limited

10 ERSL is a solid build as well
