So this is official? Cyclops next IS mech and you have a chance at getting the Nightstar soonish - nice.

Well the Cyclops isn't confirmed but everyone assumes it'll be next because Russ said in the Townhall that he'd announce a new mech & that they already have the concept art done for it. Aside from the Cyclops the only mech that I can think of with finished concept art is the Flea & Russ said the Flea is "dead" to him.

I'm not sure exactly when but personally I'm hoping for late this year/early next for the Nightstar.

Excellent! Tell your friends about this mech & get em to voice their support of it getting added & we'll get the Nightstar sooner, rather than later. (Probably most likely)

Sometimes it's not about how pretty you drew the lines but how you help fuel someones imagination. That's what I really like about yours, I can see it & the design aspects that Alex could draw from to create the MWO version.

Welcome to the crusade. :)

None of us have Alex's level of skill or talent (yet anyhow). But that doesn't mean we can't make a design that is better, or inspires. Inspiration, imagination and execution are not all one and the same!

Ohhh yes indeed.

As far as the Gunslinger comparison goes, I think the Nightstar wins easily. Every NS variant would be as fast if not faster than the Gslinger with every weapon capable of hitting what you can see (cockpit height).

None of us gets paid as much as Alex. The rest is just a matter of practice.

Anyway, I got so hyped that I may just draw another one after I am done with my current project.I sure had lots of fun while drawing Nightstar.

Oh yeah man! I'm glad you enjoyed it because I was worried it'd become a chore with all the effort you put in.

To be honest, it was THE most fun thing I have ever drawn as far as I can remember.Besides, I already know how to improve it.So yeah, will do Nightstar after I am done with Viper which I am currently working on.

nightstar = big marauder

as far as IS is concerned, that can't be a bad thing.

Well yeah, that is it's lore. It's the last mech in a family of mechs based off the Marauder. I'd say it also helps that it'd be a powerhouse in MWO.

As long as its as unkillable as the marauder it would find a place in my IS dropdeck. The Banshee is boring anyway.

My opinion still stands though, the Clans need better assault options. The kodiak should help some, but 100 tonners have the drawback of taking up a very big chunk of your drop weight, and that also needs to be taken into account.

I am a merc, i like options on both sides.

I'd anticipate it being pretty tough. With arms that protect protect the STs and high mounts so you don't expose too much of your mech, etc.

I love my Banshee but I agree that new is good.
