I honestly don't think it would be that good.

Type2 jumpjets are the worst jj class in terms of thrust so those won't be a big deal, high energy hardpoints are great and alll but the battlemaster and banshee already has more of them them while allowing a much faster engine. The dual gauss arms are low slung and if you want that the King Crab seems like a stronger choice with it's higher tonnage and bigger engine.

If it had the engine cap of a battlemaster I could see it being useful, but if it has the expected about 300 cap then nope nothing to be excited about.

Doesn't seem to fit the current meta that well at all IMO, especially not in FW where you want to be fast in most cases.

No they arent.

Class II JJs have 68 thrust for 1 ton.
Class I JJs have 68 thrust for 2 tons.

Id say paying double for the same output is worse. Class II JJs are barely worse than Class III, which have 75 thrust and weigh 1 ton.

JJ pecking order:

Class IV >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Class V = Class III > Class II >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Class I

Edit: Gunslinger would be a bit owned by the bad engine cap actually, 310 same as the Stalker most likely. So not a Battlemaster with ECM and JJs, because good Battlemasters run at 75+

Not to derail this amusing thread with actual serious commentary, but...

...this isn't true. Guns above cockpit are much more likely to clear bad terrain hit boxes.

Also, PGI's convergence doesn't seem to be done correctly within 3D space. I've had wide-arm weapons such as lasers on an Ebon Jaguar hit buildings/terrain on the way to a target that should have easily missed the obstacle had they been drawn correctly in 3D space. It sometimes seems as if weapons don't converge at all until right before they hit... or something like that. So a weapon that's mounted above the cockpit is going to clear intervening obstacles by a couple of meters as long as you have LOS.
