In terms of XL friendliness, one of the primary benefits of the XL is to mount a big engine for high speed and agility, which can counteract the supposed "fragility" of the XL. A small XL engine is slow and clumsy, and therefore doesn't really unlock the full potential of the mighty XL.
It seems like a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of situation for the Funslinger.
The BLR gets away with Xls by running 400s or 375s so it can twist better.
However with good hitboxes and those big shoulders being arms? It's got potential.
