Eh... PGI, is there any chance this type of event could come with something like, "For every 100 match score earned, we (PGI) will give you (the MechWarrior) 1 MC"??? Obviously, it would probably only be added to accounts at the end of the event due to needing time to tally? It would create more interest in the event, causing more people to come online to earn and convert, instead of looking like a "PGI is doing a 'cash grab' again" event. Combine that with a Mech Bay Sale that everyone's been calling for, and you would probably have perfection?

how is this pay to play??? you still can play absolutely for free, its not like they are increasing the damage done by your mechs if you convert xp or anithing, they are just giving an incentive to stack and convert xp, the rest of the game keeps going with normality

I've always found the 50$ package to hit the sweet spot with the added bonus MC.

Thanks for the 2x XP, and the MC sale, and the GXP conversion bonuses.

Love the 64oz soda standing item in my laser mechs, and at the bonus MC sale rate, it costs about $0.46USD as the GXP bonus item, less than an actual 64oz soda

Here's to hoping for a mechbay sale soon to spend the rest of the MC! (Don't really need the extra GXP, just want the soda..)

Let's do "teh maths" and see if we get value for the money. NOTE: I do not use Common Core Mathemagics

1. $100USD buys 25,000MC (+5,000MC event bonus) for a total of 30,000MC. That's ~$130CAD for you Canucks

2. The Event XP Exchange bonus of 25XP +100% XP/MC spent results in 30,000XP + 30,000MC converted to 1,5000,000GXP. Note that the Event 50XP/1MC conversion rate effectively makes the $100USD expense equal to $200USD worth of MC at normal conversion rate of 25XP/MC... IF you converted the whole damn thing... derp!

3. Upon converting only 20,000MC we arrive at 1,000,000GXP, the final conversion reward tier. Only 20,000MC is required to obtain all available rewards during the Event. So at best $/MC rate 20,000MC costs about $66USD to receive all available rewards

4. In addition to the +20% more MC and 100% more GXP we will be rewarded with 3,750MC worth in Cockpit Standing Items, or another $20USD in MC at current PGI prices. PLUS a 'Mech Bay. 300MC more value at about $2.50USD value - FREE, sorta...

5. ALL told the total value, virtual value, since digital content is free to copy pasta after production, is about $222.50USD, more or less

6. The Event rewards also include 11,000,000C-Bills, roughly equal to a Clan Heavy 'Mech. Not to shabby for free money. Well, kinda free... sorta... maybe... I guess. If you play as badly as I do and historically average ~100,000C-Bills/Match (told ya I'm that bad) then it takes about 100 Quick Matches to make 11,000,000C-Bills. I suppose at a maximum of 25hrs to play that many matches then that kinda time is not exactly 'free'... but I digress...

7. And the $100USD MC purchase banks 10,000MC - after obtaining all the rewards - to do with as you wish. Buy 80 Oneshot Patterns @ 125MC each, or 10 colours @ 1,000MC each (or 20 @ 500MC each), or buy that much-sought-after 'Mech Mastery Bundle you've been droolin' for, or scoop up an Assault 'Mech Mastery Bundle at around 8,500MC though you know you'll level all three 'Mechs, sell the one you do not like (free 'Mech Bay slot) and then buy two Oneshot Patterns at 1/4 the price of the Pattern Unlock (and die valiantly in PUGs to the likes of Splat Jenners, Cheeters, and Urbie devil spawn , but I'm not a BitterVet... yet... I mean 'salty'...) and still have enough MC remaining to buy up to 5 'Mech Bays @ 300MC each

Conclusion: If you want MAXIMUM value and have noting else to do with 30,000MC, other than buy 100 'Mech Bays during this "'Mech Bay 20% Off Sale" y'all been pining for, then spend $100USD

NB: I just might. Poppa needs his 3rd Highlander IIC... and Cockpit Swag and Skill Unlocks and Stuff...
