In the last 50 Gather Intel matches, i lost maybe one or two on IS side. We even played against Kcom - Evil - Lords and bet them without problems.
What most people dont get (about 80% just call me newb for this) is just to go for gather intel if the mode is gather intel.
How to gather intel ?
- Get 4 PiratesBane ,
- Start spreading out gathering Intel
- Hide yourselfe while the countdown is running.
- Run into the dropzone the last possible second.
Even 6 skillcrows would not have a chance. Most of the time i run solo scout matches. I tell the team to get fast ECM mechs and they just call me newb...
3 minutes later they are all dead. - but 12-16 points gatherd by a solo LCT - PB!
The big downside to this is you get pretty much nothing from winning intel without kills. Its not even enough to get the event reward. So while. yea a top speed light is going to run circles around stormcrows, you will barely be rewarded for your time (unless your really just helping for the planet, then gg).
